GEL productions "2512" 2512 was fun fun fun.... great job folks... Leongie and me were the hosts of "Don't forget the carols" and it was funny cos of all the people.. we were the 2 that didnt manage to catch any episodes/seasons of that game show.. but well think we managed to be rather good hosts nonetheless...hahaha
We had a "kachang puteh" stall too..that gives away nuts... well it was a "movie/TV night" so we had to have some tidbits/popcorn...nuts were like cheaper alternatives...so it was Kachang Puteh...

We all helped in the setting up of the place...and few months back while out at Ikea.. i spotted some nice star, light decoration which I thought will look lovely for decoration..and since it cost $2.90 each..i bought 5 of them... didnt have any nice spot at Household of faith for them so.. brought it to church to deco for 2512...turned out quite nice...Door Babes...

2512 was a blast.. we all had fun and we all enjoyed our little christmas get together.... and now i am 'stressed' over wat to do for good friday...hahaha

GELebration thoughts

To God be the glory!!! GELebration turned out to be a blast, although turnout wasnt what we expected.. but nonetheless, it didnt stopped us from having an awesome time of praise and worship on Saturday..Though tiring and all.. but it was all worthwhile and worth it..

I remembered as I was looking at the clock on Saturday, it was about to be 7pm. We had just finished going about the last run through, rushing through dinner and all.. doing everything we should be doing..except PRAY. It was at that moment, that we gathered everyone together and prayed.. We committed the time to God, we prayed for the whole event that will be taking place soon, we prayed for the people coming and all who will be there..

and well, although nothing BIG or miraculous took place immediately.. there wasnt an inflooding of overwhelming response of people coming in.. But as we started the programme, as we started praising God.. I saw 2 girls coming in.. (friends of Ivor from another church)…

That moment.. I was reminded by God.. that we were all too focus on the numbers that were coming for the event, that we forgot the whole point.. GOD is the one who has the ability to touch lives and change hearts… the numbers do not matter, its the individual heart attitude that He is interested in…GELebration didnt turn out to be much of an outreach event.. but more of a time of truly seeking God and praising and worshipping Him as a Youth group..

Not sure for all, but I for one was touched by the presence of God there and then.. that tears started to well up… I thank God for HIS amazing Love and grace for us…

GELebration left me feeling that it was a great and wonderful event.. but I serve a even more Wonderful and Greater God who cares about the Heart more then the Numbers…. =) when heart attitude is right..more hearts will come in to be touched and changed…

So people…Show God to the people out there in the way we lead our lives, in the way we conduct our lives….. (pics out soon..)

She was in a good mood that day...Jacynth and Elliot They are super cute right?? hahah... anywayz... it was a busy busy Hari Raya weekend for us... starting from Fri, we had DFD (designed for Discipleship) in church and there after the usual supper over at 85..

Then came Saturday..where we had DFD Clinic with the adults, to understand how this can be conducted.. thereafter, Leongie and me headed over to his poly friend's place for their poly gathering... afterwhich we headed home..and set up our cable Tv...though we didnt have any add on channels..(only have the 3 basic groups).. we actually watched TV-channel surfing (cos it was the trial period and we had all the channels) till 2ish am before we went to bed...

Evil Black box... make us stay up late, steal our time away from doing more meaningful thing..

So then it was Sunday... where we were in church and got to take those wonderful nice shots with the kiddos...and then it was birthday party after birthday parties...it was Cheryl Lim's birthday too.. so blessed Birthday to ALL September 20th and 21st Babies...

G-ladies and Me

GELLers at YingHuan's bday And then Leongie and me went home to slack..before some of the youths came over to our new place.. and together we headed over to Gab's place for his birthday party!!
So well.. me being the usual sabo queen... decided to dunk Gab into the pool..got the boys to help..even Leongie was ready to head into the pool together with Gab...but well a turn of events and it was I who ended up in the pool with Gab... BEST!! Why is it always me?? lala.. guess every one had fun....

And then today...I thank God it was a public Holiday...though didnt get to rest etc. and spent the whole day in church for Gelebration's rehearsal...but it was Good..serving God is way better then serving Man...(work is worship- that is something I am still grasping and trying to apply that).. For now.. i thank God for the break from work....

So after rehearsals..we had worship team meet up and dinner sponsored by Pastor Joel and family over at Sakura at Tampines... so yupz..

Kinda sums up my busy, packed, eating and eating hari raya weekend....

SING dollar

SING Dollar!!Caught SING DOllar last night over the Esplanade... a dream academy production, featuring Dim Sum Dollies trio, Najip Ali, Kumar, Hossan Leong, BroadwayBeng-Sebastian Tan, Lim Kay Siu...

(Super COOL, creative and nice)

Well.. the show was good.. but I think I still prefer Dim Sum Dollies best... and well i felt that Broadway Beng was 'funnier' then SIng Dollar...though i quite like one of the scenes in SING Dollar (MJ Impersonation by Hossan Leong).. oh wellz.. shant comment much..lest i become a spoiler for those who have yet to catch it....

overall the show is still good.. judging from the way my Kong Kong was laughing through the show...yupz.. bought him a tic for the show too..cos he really enjoys all these local productions... (YES my Kong Kong is damn cool and happening one kk)

Some of you would have heard me saying before that My Kong Kong bought us the "Spice World" Movie back when it came out.. and he Love VengaBoys too when they first started out..and one day when VengaBoys was in Town (to have some concert in ZouK).. Kong Kong actually asked if we wanted to go..and he could buy us a tic for the concert... (obviously he doesnt know i was underage to enter Zouk then)..

Oh and Kong Kong recently actually asked Gladys what and Where ZOUK is..and if he can go... (cos he opens the letter box and sieves through the mails..and always see Zouk posting their monthly thingy to Gladys)....Tell me how cool is my Kong Kong??

Anywayz... he seems to really love SING DOllar...and was "hinting" that he want to watch Broadway Beng in Dec too.. so any takers?? oh.. for those who have not had the chance to catch SING Dollar... its still on...they have one last show on 8th August...

TGIF 2009

TGIF-Thank God It's Friday (2009) TGIF was a blast!!! Was tiring and all, but it was FUN FUN FUN... performers did well... our church though small and limited by resources still managed well.. We are gifted and blessed by God with talented peeps... =)


Peeps who play the musical instruments well, peeps who have great vocals to sings, peeps who can act well, peeps who are good at one thing or another...Ie: to solve the Spot light problem we had.. (no place for spot lights, no budget too), we went to get Ikea lights..and Ivor and Gab thought of the most ingenious idea to put them up.... For me... I used to kinda feel sianz that I cant sing or play any musical instruments..so back then I would usually contribute by joining in those dances or skits we have.. but lately..i've realised.. God's developing me in another area of gift..


The pic above (which is the publicity we used for TGIF) is kinda created by me!! Previously.. our publicity falls on the hands of either the admin aunty in church, but these days.. GEL publicity is done by ourselves..and I've kinda come up with a few interesting ones thus far... and am prety amazed myself.. I Thank God for that.. cos I dunno how to use photoshop, no artistic talent but just a knack for mixing and matching pics and tadah.... hoping to develop that area of skill further.. wanna pick up photoshop too..anyone wanna teach me???


I've realised that previously I used to be the creative and adventurous one that comes up with crazy bold ideas for games..and lately i realised that that creative part in me is being changed to creating other stuffs.. SCRIPTING and directing in a way... friends used to tell me I should have gone into the advertisement line cos of the crazy things i can think of..but now.. I guess that's something I can develop to serve God in... and so yupz... directed and scripted the script for TGIF and of cos HIStory last year.. (with God's help and many others tooo)


so yupz... once agian though limited with skills and all.. i've realised.. God uses people who are willing to be used...and i say again our church though small has been planted with talented and gifted people yet to be used fully by God....but those currently serving God wholeheartedly... well Keep it up folks... for those like me before..not knowing if you have any talent or anything to contribute... PRAY about it... cos God will use you if you are willing.. =)

September Love-13th September 2008

This was the only pic i managed to take ..for September Love... the rest are with Ivor..cos he was sort of the official photographer that day... so when more pics are out..then i shall upload them.. along witht he many videos we have...but for now....SEPTEMBER LOVE!!!

For those who dunno...September Love:

is a 2 hours long concert with homemade videos, MTVs, and life band playing songs like: "The reason", "Dare you to move", "Meant to live", "Wake me up when September Ends", "Fen Shou Kuai Le" etc etcc...all by my very own Gellers... or rather... GTG GEL Productions

We stayed over at churchie on Friday night for last minute practises, to brush up whatever we were unsure of.. to decorate the place, to make our churc more cosy and more cafe style setting.. had some mad cow rush rehearsals... cos we were kinda flustered and all

so slept at 5ish am..and woke up at 8.30am.. Goodness gracious... super sleep deprieve these days.. and then it was going through the whole programme line up etc again.. all the way til lunch time when it was our "break" cos Gel Kidz had their programme...

Once Gel Kidz was done... we were back to work.. cleaned the place, re-arrange the place abit..and then friends, guest started coming in at 5pm... I extended invitation to Raine and Addie since they stay at the east... and they came.. *Thanks girls for coming to support*

Everything went on well and great actually... people love the homemade videos and also the mime performance we did... and well the only thing that was 'faulty' was the sound system which didnt do us any justice... and in our guest own words "Very very good concert" , "next time if there's another of such concert...do ask me to come k... "...

Excellent-eh GEllers... so after the event..it was cleaning up time.. Addie stayed behind a while to help out...same for ZL and boy's bro-Jonathan... and after the cleaning.. when almost everyone had left... when it was just left with: 2 Brats, Char, Mian, BOy, me, Kenneth, Shiyi, ZL and JOn... ZL was asked to sing by popular demand... and FREN.. KEN say u can sing super well lor...

So anywayz... we decided to do another sleepover in church, cos it was kinda late and we didnt wanna travel all the way home and be back again in less then 8hrs time..so we slept over in church..

I gave ZL a lift home first...cos he came to support us..so yeah sent him home before i went back to churchie for sleepover... and there i was comfy in my silk liner...and Meimei was there disturbing me....

Anyway.. must say this again.. it was GREAT job done GEllers... super COOL for September Love.. cant wait to upload the videos and all the pics here... lalalalal

Broadway Beng 3!!

Yuppers.. it was a wednesday today..but NOpez.. wasnt at MAMBO....haha come to think of it.. i haven set foot in Zouk for the last 2 months...I'm back to being a Closet Chiongster...(okies too early to say that..)

so yupz, went to watch Broadway Beng 3... Boy came by to pick me up, waited for the rest (Gladys, Emmy, Charissa, Noel and VinVin) to come..

Show was a short one.. bout 1.5 hours or so.. loads of hokkien and super like 7th Month Ge Tai.. but it was funny.. although Dim Sum Dollies still win it hands down.. but yupz. Sebestian Tan is funny.. and really good.. for someone his age (i dunno how old is he..but he looks young and super bengish) to speak Such good and fluent hokkien, chinese and English at the same time is something..

After the show... it was off to geylang.. for dim sum supper before heading home to catch my current SCV show... gonna be a long long day tml...
