I'm HOME BOUND... the next few days...cos.. I am Quarantine.... and why am i Quarantine??? well all thanks to MEI MEI (above pic)... hahaha

She is down with HFMD (mild one) and is on MC for the whole WEEK... and the very moment i informed my colleagues and Aunty Serene bout it...well i kinda got the 'no need come office for the whole week' info already...

So wat's the whole fuss?? well that's the thing..cos i work with children in close contact if you havent already know... and well MeiMei shares the same room with me..and always throws her arms around me to give me a big fat hug..(in place of Ah leong being in camp, these are the huggies i get) ..

so yupz... HOME for the whole week... but will be working from home... lalalalal happiness no waking up early.....

GEL BBQ at Savannah

GEL BBQ at SavannahGellies had BBQ last night.. over at Savannah... and hehe.. I can proudly say.. that for once.. I DID nothing for this BBQ... no planning, no coordinating, no BBQ of food..and no looking after the fire, not even setting the fire... haha... SUper slack.. but that's good.... cos it means....

Gellies are great and they can manage on their own.... guess it was a nice time of come together, to just slack, play, eat and be merry together after weeks and weeks of practise for HIStory....

Totally random and just on a side note.... hahaha notice my 4th finger??? got ring liaoz.. hahah well previously i was thinking i will never get used to wearing a ring...but well just the other day when i forgot to put on the ring, it feels kinda weird.... so yupz... haha slowly getting used to the fact that I am wearing a ring...and also slowly getting used to the idea that I am getting MARRIED... hahaha

Okies.. Boy came after his work meeting to join us at the BBQ.. and well after BBQ... me went over to Char and Mian's place to stay over..to do up the GEL report for AGM today... its been some time since i stayed over at their place...

So yupz.. today after Churchie, the girlies went out to Marina area.. to have Lunch at Kenny Rogers, and then while the rest (Charissa, Gladys, Meilan and Rynthia) went to watch the fashion show (emmy's event), Charmian and Ivor, Me and Boy went to play Pool and then when the rest was done with their fashion show.. we caught "Vantage point"...

Interesting show... that shows the same scene from different people point of view... but haha watching the same thing happening again and again for 8 times was kinda SIANz at the 3rd time... So yupz... after movie.. it was home we went...

back to OI days

OI gathering...Last night was an 'interesting' night... met up with peeps whom i have not met for ages... 2 since 1999, 1 since 2003, 2 since 2004....

Anyhowz it was a saturday, but I woke up early in the morning and didnt sleep in... and went for meeting at Raffles City cartel with: Zi, Addie, 3sa and Genecca, to discuss bout our guides etc... once done, Zi, Addie and me went to coffee club to look for Feebie...

and then...Boy came to city hall to pick me before we headed down to Vivocity for the bridal fair...to confirm our bridal package... got a not too bad deal...which we were quite happy with... Cant wait for photo taking and all...

Many couples think wedding preparation is such a chore.. but haha seems like Ah leong and me are enjoying it big time... its quite fun planning it and we simply cant wait... haha.... so yupz... we had dinner with his family....before he sent me for my OI gathering...

Met at CHIJMES, hogsbreath before we went for chill out over at Indochine-Forbidden City... been there to recee before but not there for drinks....and hmmm was a nice place to chill really....

Yupz.. ZhiZhi... hmmm sounds familiar?? Oh wellz...haha he still not photogenic (like what he always said) after so many years plus.. he looked more tired and older liaoz....and yupz glad that after soo many years of not knowing wat to say to each other when we meet.... we finally can talk, crap and all like normal frens does....

So yupz.. we called it a night at bout 11ish.. and headed home.... got a lift from the chiongster driver ZhiZhi... haha used to see him play daytona back in OI days and knew he will grow up to be a chiongster driver and haha i was right.... lalalala....

So yupz...It was good friday today... woke up super early in church, only slept at 3ish last night..but yupz.. today was the day... we all got ready, washed up and all... and then it was soon time for actual 'play'....

Well Things went well.. crowd was entertained and also got away with the whole easter/good friday message..i guess and yupz PAPA Bear came....Thanks Papa bear... and well can wait for the whole video to be out then we can view it......

Anywayz...was so glad all things went well and the satisfaction of it all was to have peeps coming up to me to say it was a great production, something new from before and yupz..just great... Spurred me on to want to do the next production..= Boy even thinks we should make it something big next year.... let's hope so=)

And Thanks to all my casts and crew....for all the endless hours of rehearsing and support...and for all the encouragement along the way too....

LLF Joins mambo, 19.03.08

Introducing the new LLF-Feebie2 days ago it was LLF=Feebie's 18th bday... and welll few mths back... I met Feebie at City hall and she said: "i am turning 18 in march..so i can soon go to wherever you all always go with you all" So yupz... since she turned 18 on Tues... we went to our usual wednesday place last night...

Boy came to GH to pick me up and we went to Wheelock place for dinner at Sun Moon.... before meeting Adeline, Feebie and fren to head towards Zouk....Feebie didnt have IC with her (and that's another story why she didnt have her ic with her)... so she brought along her passport for identification...just in case-she said....although we did tell her before that, that with Ah Leong around, there will be no need for identification..

So once there at Zouk..haha we kinda sabo-ed feebie... told Sofian to ask for any form of identification from feebie...ad she handed her passport over to him... *HAHHAHA* we were all trying to control our laughter..and Sofian actually said "this is your first time here? you got to get a chop later in the book, like when u go overseas" hahaha.. super funny..

Feebie dun kill us k.. =) but it was cute....anyway.... Boy stayed behind to talk to Sofian, while we went for drinks over at our usual.....

Anywayz...after taking pic... well my migraine hit me again (earlier in the day, while at office.. i had migraine...but tot it was gone for good but nopez... got me all dizzy and head was super pain..felt super unwell and the music seemed to be blasting in my mind....so although we planned to stay till late... i had to leave...

Think its the lack of sleep these days, waking up early for conferences, driving lessons and all... or maybe i am getting Old... =( oh wellz.. sorry Dolly and Addie... party with u girls another time soon... =)

and yupz.. heard Zi and Addie stayed till 3ish la... haha u girls ah...anyway... tonight is the rehearsal night for HIStory... Gellers gonna meet at church for rehearsals...and gosh...the event's tomorrow....super excited.... cant wait....

haha Joshua's grown sooo mch already..He's our chosen "page boy" for 20th December... hoping he dun grow too tall from now till then... and yupz.. we also got our flowergirls already.... only thing that we have yet to really confirm now is a church for our matrimonial ceremony....shall pray then for a church soon...

Oh wellz, spent almost the whole day in chuch today again..for our HIStory rehearsals.. the event's this coming Friday on Good Friday... hmmm ever wondered by good friday is called good friday?? although its the day Jesus died for all our sins?? Guess its called Good friday...cos wat Jesus did was good?? he died for the sake of all and yup that's why its good ba...

Anyway...rehearsals was great.. and we will be doing our last rehearsals on coming thurs... hopefully more of the gellers frens wil come to support......

Our guides were invited to SJI's biennial campfire.. well We din really received the invitation, but verbally we were invited and confirmed by NY who invited our school... lala.. and Thanks lor.. we got placed beside St Pats..*Yikes* and they were as noisy as usual....

So yupz.. think we have all grown out of Campfires already... felt kinda bored..and I volunteered to be the photographer for the night... Zi, Adeline, Feebie and Me felt a little "out of place".. we were not in Guides Uniform..(obviously, since we are no longer guides) and we din wanna be in YA uniform.. so we put on our Guider's polo tee, wore shorts/berms instead of jeans thinking it will be so hot if we wore jeans to a campfire... but lala we kinda look LOK Kok.. haha

NY came over to say Hi.. haha and was stunned to see us not in uniform.. think he was bored from all the screaming shouting kiddos as well and set down for a chat instead of the sing songs session...

So yupz.. Campfire's theme was Dynasty, some chinese oriental thingy...with a story line of a prince being kidnapped by some bad people and all, and emperor sent envoys to get the prince back... so we see pple abseiling from second level, people "fighting" with "swords" and all.. quite funny la...

And then the usual...award presentation.. sickening NY came over to ask if we would like to receive any award.. if so we got to bribe him... we not soo despo la... haha so yupz.. during award presentation, there was "emperor's most supporting", "Emperor's best tribute", earlybird award..and then last award was "emperor's favourite".....

And the award for "emperor's favourite" goes to..... SAC Guides.... (and then the girls scream and shout.. super happy that they received something.. ME, Feebie, Zi, Adeline turned to look at each other, not sure what sort of award was that) and then Gen went out to 'receive' the award...and the emcee said: "The award for being the emperor's favourite is a handshake from the emperor"... *DIAO* but yupz.. we had a good laugh...

So after the campfire ended, we (seniors) gave the girls some time to walk around, have refreshment, wanted to debrief for the day and all before they leave... so gathered them together again and got them out one by one..first was the Company and assistant Company leaders, then Patrol leaders then patrol members to check on their own uniforms and all before we did a check...

BAD BAD BAD... rolled up skirts, inappropriate attire and all... CRAP.. wat's the standard of Guide these days? NO Discipline at all la... and they got the cheek to do the Roll eye thing.. and pull a long face.. BIG TIME attitude problem.. "not going to mention her name... totally spoil my mood for the day"~ quoted from one of the attitude problem girl's blog... I think we the seniors feel the same way about her too..and to think they actually had intention to want to do something nasty to Adeline's car... We were actually hoping they do it.. and get charged... CRAP nonsense behaviors that cant be tolerated... to think they are leaders and even potential candidates of PGA... ARGHHH feel so insulted by their behavior and felt totally ashamed that they are Guides and even worst.. SAC guides....

TIRED TIRED.. and we got to wake up at 6ish later to go SAC for pioneer training...

MS Lim is back from NZ, and well, although Zi, Me and Adeline was saying that we will only mambo the following week (19th March), Debs got the info wrong and "pre-booked" Miss Lim in advance for last night.... So that's how we ended up there...(but not that we really mind also) haha...Not too bad nite... nothing interesting.. so shant say much.... here are the pics...

Rehearsals in church

Preparation for HIStory Past few sat and Sun (and also the next few) have been busy with the preparation for HIStory... above pic: Charissa and Alson acting as Pharisees, Boy acting as one of the Centurion and here's one of me acting as a poor woman with the "Gei wo yi dian chi de ba" look...

So on Friday night, went to Airport to send KongKong, Aunt and BRat off to Shanghai... Would have gone along too if it wasnt during the school holidays period cos am gonna be real busy during the school hols..

went to work yesterday, saturday 8th March, as we were having a mini car wash and bazaar kinda thing.. not veyr good turn out but we had fun... So after work... I headed to Town to meet my Boy and the rest of Gellers... we were going to Fort Canning for a "WHO" production of Jesus' life (sounds like ours? well only that theirs was more professional of cos).. Was very good performance.. after it ended, we went to PS for movie: 10000 BC... nice movie (cos good ending ma) haha..

And then today.. I spent the whole day in church, searching for props, possible costumes, any other things that we could use so that we dun have to buy anything.. No choice.. Low budget production, small church.. but I believe and have faith that one day God will bless our church, and yupz.. God uses small churches like us too.. =)

Watched Leap Years today with Hazel, after work...(was over at Central, Clarke Quay for a training) and we were off work rather early...So yupz.. decided to head to Town to catch Leap years...

And may i say that I simply love the movie?? was sooo good.. although some of the things in the show was too good to be true..but ya.. i think its like some fairytale come true kinda show.. and I know i am such a sucker for it... but yupz.. its one of the nicest movies that i have watched in a long long while....

I am sooo going to get the DVD for this show when it is out... and for those of you who haven caught the show... should go watch it.. =)

Ah Di Oh's Bday

MY Uncle is another year older The family went for a buffet dinner over at Marriot earlier tonight... to celebrate my uncle's Birthday... was an early celebration as his bday only falls on 9th March... but well cos Aunt, Young Brat and Kongkong will be away in Shanghai then... (yupz.. they are leaving for shanghai.. I WANNA GO TOO)

so yupz...Marriot's buffet was GREAT... good spread of sashimi, and the dessert was great.... service was excellent too... see how happy they made my KongKong
Lovable Boy went with me for dinner too..and here's the dessert we both made for each other... haha.. (the one on the left with loads of toppings and all is what i did... haha greedy me cant decide which toppings i want and i ended up putting a bit of everything)So yeah... nice family gathering with all present... hoping to do more of such gatherings once in a month at least.. =)

And yes.... its a WEDNESDAY night.. but i am home..and not elsewhere.. *PAT ON MY BACK*

Leap year 2008

Sometime back..BOy and me talked about wanting to try out Sky Dining for the fun of it... and well we did... 2 weeks back.. Boy went to make reservations for us both on Leap Year day... February 29th 2008...

Well 29th Feb happens only once in 4 years.. so it kinda made that evening together dining in the cable car more special then ever.. Boy said it was to celebrate Post Vday since we din really celebrated it...

So Like any other days, he came to GH to pick me up while the rest of my colleagues were getting ready to go for staff appreciation night.. we got to Mt faber at close to 6.30pm and went str to the cable cars area... rather surprise to find many other reservations for sky dinning as well..

Well the whole process of Sky Dining allows one to go 3 rounds (from mt faber to sentosa and back to mt faber) on the cable car, where each time they are back in Mt Faber, they remove the previous round's plate of food and serves u the next dish...

Well picture paints a thousand more than what words can say... so let's the pictures say how the evening was (although the pictures dont really do justice to that wonderful evening's atmosphere)... Let's just say.. wat was supposed to be a post Vday celebration turns out to be a memorable evening that we will remember for life... =)
