Suntec for the whole day

What i do at work when others are also at work...

That's KL and me trying to act cute..just like what the 2 kiddos that we brought out did... so yupz we did the exact same thing....While having a break over at Bens and Jerry before continuing with our "work"

Was out at City hall area with KaiLin together with 2 of my girls to run some errands to get stuff for the upcoming campS and my girls captain's ball match... went to get their jerseys...and was there for the longest of time for them to choose and also get the right sizes...but we got to come back later in the evening to collect it...

So off we went back to GH...and well Boy picked me up from work...we went for dinner and then it was off to Suntec i went AGAIN... tot could help pick the girls jerseys up but in the end... the stock were not available... DArn...wasted trip there...so Boy and me went walking around..since its GSS now.. gosh..soo many things i wanna get also..but am too tired, too lazy and all to go shop for them....

lalala.. so yup... went home after a while..and HAPPINESS... no work tml!! FINALLY i can sleep in on a saturday morning....

Life's short and fragile.....Soldiers of God....work hard

Received a phone call early on Monday morning from an ex resident... called me 2 times at bout 7ish am.... and i knew something was wrong...he then sms-ed me to say... XXX "was gone"... and when i asked what "was gone" meant...and he said...XXX had passed away in a bike accident...

If you peeps have been reading the papers... on the papers 2 days back... XXX's incident was mentioned.. along with a picture of him... young boy of 17 who passed away....

Was over at his wake earlier on.. together with Dawnie, Lyn, KKMM, DKNY, Sunny and Boy... bumped into another 2 ex kiddos too...well its sad..really.. to know a young boy passed away just like that....cos of an accident that never would have happened if they followed the laws..

Laws are put in place for a reason.. Laws are there to protect us...but many times.. the lure of breaking it just overpowers our will of following them and thus gets us into trouble.. its likenth to the OLd Testament days back to the garden of eden with Adam and Eve... God had given everything to the couple.. but put a law in place...but just that one law...that they did not follow... it brought trouble to them..and all mankind...

But thank God...that he is a merciful and wonderufl God who forgives... he allowed Salvation and sent His Son to die for our sins..and with that... we are reconciled with God once again... and through believing Jesus' death, resurection for our sins... we are born again and have eternal life...and is assured of where we will be going after death on earth...

Well...back to XXX now... its sad then to know..that he is no longer here with us... and that given the time that he was with us... wonder how much of Christ did he know about...and it got me thinking that Life is indeed fragile and we are living on the thin line... cos HE is coming back soon... the harvest is plenty but the laboureres are few...

Got me thinking that as Christians..are we doing enuff to share the good news with others? have we done our part to share God's word and salvation plan with peeps.... Well.. XXX u were a great boy who's always polite and friendly... am sad that u've left us... but u will be remembered by all ur loved ones and friends.... Rest in peace...

An unexpected mambo night

A very unexpected Mambo nightBet you peeps will be wondering "Unexpected mambo night?? sure or not..." haha..well It was really an unexpected one... cos.. I was at camp at GH on Tues night..and was darn tired.... But well.. Boy's colleague had jio-ed..and since he always accompany me along... i decided to be the good gf and fiancee to tag along too..

So yupz.. Boy came to pick me up.. we went for dinner and we went back to his place..and we actually CONCUSSED... till his frens started calling at 10ish before we finally woke up... haha too tired from the camps we had...

So we made our way down to Zouk... saw ZhenXing and GF there as well.. and heyhey.. its another night of me NOT drinking alcohol night.. heheh becos my dear Boy dun like the taste of alcohol in my mouth...
Although music was great... we were very disciplined.. we left at 1.30am.. cos I had driving this morning... It was my Auto car lesson... the 'waste money yet essential if driving auto car in future" lesson...

And i met with a Chi-ko-pek instructor... tried to be funny with me by being overly friendly.. (my first ever encounter..if u're wondering its my dunno how many times already).. asked me to touch his hand so i can move the gear.... and when i was driving at one point.. cant remember exactly wat happened..he nearly wanted to tickle me... YES tickle... serious... was sooo worried la...

hmmm.. anyway.. just 2 more topics to clear in driving before i can book test dates... 2 topics that is the test routes and the mock test... but the earliest test date now available for booking after completing all topics is in Sept!!! Darn.. dun tell me i got to wait till sept/Oct to have my test then??

Argh... i wanna pass my driving SOON...

Last night and today went for 2 different gatherings...

18th Loggies had our monthly meet up and at the same time to celebrate ZhuZhu and KangKang's Bday... met over at Kallang to have steamboat before heading over to Cafe Cartel at Marina for kopi and chill..

Peeps from 17th Com loggies came by as well.. hehe seriously think its only Our "sub-com" that still meets up and makes it a point to meet up once in a month... that's good.. =) although some people have decided to go MIA from the group... but well.. we are still surviving with the current.. and also glad that the remaining still treasure the friendship forged over the years to make it a point to come...and at least respond when they cant make it for gatherings...

and well tonight.. went with Boy to his Poly mates BBQ gathering.. and the whole night's topic about housing, weddings and all.. hahah what to do.. they all know Boy's getting married..and i think they just cant imagine the once super active, super Beng-ish Boy is finally settling down..

lalallaa.. come to think of it.. its just another 7 months from now.. haha Know what?? I cant wait for it.... Cant wait for the Big Day to come.... =)

Boy came to fetch me from work... and off we went to Town to have "angry man" japanese food over at Far East...waited about 45mins before its our turn to eat..once again it was a "hostile" and quiet eating environment... but the whole atmosphere was made interesting with me and Boy being kaypohs and listening to the conversation between the 2 person next to us... guy seems interested with girl..but girl dun seem interested kinda thing..haha

anyway...waited for addie to come and it was off to ZOuk then...went to our usual place....and chilled...

well since i have driving lessons this morning... had planned to leave at 2am...with BOy around..i din drink as much, am very disciplined and left when gladys finally came over to meet us... and was home by 3am... lallaa.. moosic was rather bad last night....still prefer the sunday night one...

So yupz..woke up at 7am this morning to head to SSDC for driving... lalala.. jus realised i have not blogged much about my driving lessons... well am progressing rather well... there's 33 topics/subjects that i have to pass before booking my test....and i am at subject 31 already... been to 17 lessons and yupz..cant wait for my test..and i seriously wish and hope and pray that i can pass the first time... dun wanna spent more money already.......

So it was Vesak day today.. after the late night out at Zouk last nite... i woke up only at 2pm!! gosh its been a long while since i manage to sleep in till SOOO late...SHIOKaDOooo... so was lazying at home watching HK drama serials on Youtube and then it was off to family dinner we go...

Was off to celebrate my Bro's bday... and Post Mother's day and also Advance Father day all in One dinner..over at Holiday Inn...

Sighz.. we should have gone back to Marriot for buffet instead of trying somewhere new...

We decided to Zhao finally... and go for supper over at Chinatown porridge there... since there was 5 passenger (ZX, Julia, Darren, Me and Poong) and only 1 car..one had to sacrifice.. We tot Darren was joking when he said he dun mind going into the boot....

and then.. he really went to the boot and sat in there.. and insisted he was ok..and then we drove to Chinatown for porridge...Was a nice mambo night, with fun great company.. looking forward to Mambo-ing with my crazy gang this coming wed when Zi finishes her exams...

So Mei Yee invited us for her post Bday gathering over at ICON tanjung Pagar last night...Was to meet Jia Yi and Andrew much earlier at 6pm over at city Hall.. but but but but but....

All the OI boys always make me wait la... haha they were both late... Andrew came first.. and didnt recognize me.. (well of cos.. haha the last time he saw me was 9 years ago and i have changed a lot in these 9 years) .. from being cute and sweet, to fat and plumpy to now Lian?? more lady like... and in Andrew words- Pretty, Nu ren wei and sexy... like *dot*dot*dot...

hahah Flattered... so off we went to buy mei yee's pressie... before meeting up with Jiayi to go over to the place... there again..we waited for Zhi to come.... super nice apartment.. which only the super rich can afford... nice view, got nice chill out place and all...

didnt really eat.. more of talking and suan-ing one another.. and then Ugin my (ah kong) came.. haha haven seen him since CJC days too.. nice meeting them all again.. and really glad Mei Yee invited us all..

Called it a night..and hehe it was off to Party I went... cos it was Mambo night at Zouk -vesak day special...

How often can you get to starve urself with Sushi for SUPPER?? yes yes.. Supper..It was a boring Saturday today initially... not until I had SUSHI SUPPER with my monsters gang- Papa bear, VinVin and Little monster...

So Why was it a boring saturday today? Main reason being it was a working day for me... Argh.. total Sian-ness when you got to work on Saturday... (so now i totally understand those who works on sat) cos that means Your weekend is only on SUNDAY....

Secondly... well i used to sleep in on saturdays.. but now cos of Work.. i got to wake up much early then i can sleep til.. and that really suck big big time...

So yupz.. ended work, went to Youth, and after youth, arranged to meet up with my monsters gang for late dinner.. at "TPY"... well.. TPY to Haz and me means: Toa Payoh.. but to the Monsters.. they thought otherwise...

I reached tpy...and called Bear (cos half an hour earlier he said he left his house already and will call when he reach, and he Hasnt called me yet.. and its seldom that Bear will be late) and lala.. he was at Tampines....Immediately called vinVin... and bestest... he was also at Tampines... ARGHH... so sorry folks.. miscommunication this time..should have specify the exact location instead..

So Yupz.. they came to Tpy.. and we went to Sakae Sushi... had Sushi Supper Buffet.. and gosh we really ate super a lot.. and Bear actually ate 2nd round of dinner la... we ordered like nobody's business and ate like crazy..... but haha it was a great time gorging ourselves crazy...

Then it was a walk to Tpy Town park.. haha to digest our food before we head home.. but in the end it was off to Lor 5 hawker center for drinks and more crapping and catching up before we head home....

Off to the first fitting I go.. Finally... the day came.. went for my first fitting of gowns today...and seriously prior to today.. I was hearing all sort of nasty stories from my friends... Some told me that their frens had went for fitting... and was "scolded" or told off sarcastically that they were too plum..and should shed some weight to fit into the gowns.. and the funny thing was... those peeps were not wat you would say FAT lor...

hmmm Not that I am on the super plus side..(Right? haha) but yupz am still a little bigger then most peeps on certain areas...so was apprehensive about the whole fitting... and Haz said "I will scold them for u if they dare say u" Thanks haz.. super comforting to know.. =)

So yupz... Hazel was there.. so were Zi, Vic, Gladys and Boy.... spent like 3 over hours in total.. tried super alot of gowns... and only managed to choose the Main gown for the Big Day... so made another appointment to choose the remaining ones...

Tedious and tiring i must say to choose gowns etc.. but haha it was Fun... cant wait for the next fitting.. in June... lalalala...

Yuppers.. it was a wednesday today..but NOpez.. wasnt at MAMBO....haha come to think of it.. i haven set foot in Zouk for the last 2 months...I'm back to being a Closet Chiongster...(okies too early to say that..)

so yupz, went to watch Broadway Beng 3... Boy came by to pick me up, waited for the rest (Gladys, Emmy, Charissa, Noel and VinVin) to come..

Show was a short one.. bout 1.5 hours or so.. loads of hokkien and super like 7th Month Ge Tai.. but it was funny.. although Dim Sum Dollies still win it hands down.. but yupz. Sebestian Tan is funny.. and really good.. for someone his age (i dunno how old is he..but he looks young and super bengish) to speak Such good and fluent hokkien, chinese and English at the same time is something..

After the show... it was off to geylang.. for dim sum supper before heading home to catch my current SCV show... gonna be a long long day tml...

Mother's day 2008

Happy mother's Day to all the mothers out there

Its Mother's day again.. and these were all the mothers in churchie today, who got their mother's day gift and hehe sang a song item together impromtu...

well mother's day this year was a simple affair.. I remember.. we used to have a meal get together to bring Mama and my aunty out for mother's day.. but well we kinda decided to lump mother's day, father's day and My bro's bday all together for a mini meal get together this year...

Msg-ed my other sis to tell mum Happy mother's day for me on behalf since My mum still dunno how to SMS..(gosh can u believe it?? up to today there are people who dunno how to sms still) but i din get any replies etc..wonders if she got it....

Anywayz, after churchie, Boy sent us (Mei, Me, Gladys) to "visit" Mama... went to change flowers and put on the "mother's day edition" flowers and removed the "chinese New year edition".. haha guess the next time we will be changing flowers would be Mama's bday edition...

ate lunch together before we sent them home and then Boy and me proceeded to his place... intention was to Clean and get his room in spick and span condition..but haha we failed... spent the day watching TV instead..and then went CIty Hall with his parents..and ended up home again.. watching Tv and eating Pizza...

Gosh.. Pizza Hut's hotline is super HARD to call through la... and they dun have online order unlike Mac... they should.. cos Hungrily desperate people dun like to wait super long on the phone.....

Off to blading i go... (FINALLY) Met up with the odac mates last night, and welcomed YuCheng to the so called Oldbies club..and well went for dinner and then it was off to one of those durian stalls along geylang for durians *of cos* (but hmm maybe MAN was there for other reasons? ) haha just joking..

Was a great turnout..there was: Yeeky, Chimy, Carol, Mei*yu, Yucheng, Papa bear, VinVin, Rohting, Naipa, MAN, Bings n gf, SHuhong and Ting... did i miss out anyone else?? ate tons of durians and drank coconut... nice time crapping..and being Silly and nonsensical...and then it was off to part 3 we (Mei*yu, Bear, Me, Vin and Man) we go.. to Kovan's Hongkong cafe for mango ice thingy....

and yupz.. Today woke up realy early.. SIANZ (to think i got to work on every saturday now.. well Almost every la..cos of a programme i am in charge of...) so yup work i went.. and then it was off to ECP for GEL meeting.. my nice sweet family members came by to Office to pick me up.. *thankies*

So yupz.. brought my Bladies out.. FInally after close to 1 year of Not blading.. i decided to bring Bladies out for a walk... bladed for 2 hours.. but din really blade blade.. cos was helping the rest who were 1st timers get confidence and feel of blading...

There after... went to try out the swerve board thingy that Charmian rented... took me bout 5mins to be able to learn to get up and move..(but i dun last longer then 5 secs on the board..and that's something I will aim to do the next time i try it..) and then.... i look down to my feet after I felt my toes getting "watery".. and thats when i saw:
There was no pain at all.. and then i realised I had a cut.. but then it wasnt painful and i dunno where did that cut came from.... lalalala.... anywayz, took bus with meimei back home and then it was slack at home, watch tv time.. until my Lovable Boy came by for a surprise visit.. =) *sweet*

Out with Boy on a Wed night

Met Boy today after work... haven had the luxury of going to town/city area with boy on a weekday for the longest of time... so he came by Gh to pick me up at 6ish.. and we headed to Marina Square..

Walked around..and decided to have early dinner before the evening crowds comes... had dinner over at hmm is it Bon Appeti? (not sure) the one beside Carls Junior... Ribs, nachos, salad and SUPERB ice chocolate drink...

Good meal after many many bowls of Pho in Vietnam... haha but Gosh.. i am eating A lot again of late.. arghhh help... wat if i cant fit into the gowns?? hahah i am super not like other brides lor.. Brides to be would usually cut down on intake of food at least 1 yr before.. but for me.. i'm 7months away from wedding but Gosh..still eating as per usual.. greedy? haha think so.. cant resist the temptation of good food..

lala.. anywayz.. after dinner, we caught a show together... Last time we watched a movie together was in Feb la... anyhowz.. watched Ironman.. and yupz.. good show.. action pack and all.. for those who have yet to watch Ironman... remember to sit through til end of credits cos there's a short 30 seconds clip that indicates the sequel....

WEnt home after movie.. and MeiMei was pestering us to play Wii with her... hahah yes that's the newest toy at home that we have...

Summary of Vietnam Trip

Vietnam Trip in a nutshell

Okies folks...back from my first trip to Vietnam with the Boy.. spent a total of 9 days there... most of which were spent travelling... apart from travelling rest of time was spent slacking, resting, and just eating...

Well days before the trip.. was a hectic rush of clearing work, driving lessons and all... so no time for any preparations... only asked KaiLing about some of the interesting places in Vietnam that she will recommend..since she been there for work for 1.5yrs before...got some recommendations 2 days before the trip.. and even got her contacts for a house church there.. =)

So yupz.. day came, Boy and me left for Vietnam on 26.04.08..and best.. guess what? We didnt bring a camera along... so only had our trusty HP to take pictures.... lalala.. anyway... here was the rough itinerary:

26.04.08 (Saturday)- Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) aka saigon, arrived at 8+am (time was 1 hr behind spore time) we took a taxi to Saigon city, went to the backpackers area (Pham Ngu Lao) found a place to check into.. and off we went to walk around and familiarise ourselves...book bus tix to Dalat with Sinh Cafe...

27.04.08 (Sunday) -HCMC, went to District 1 area to a House church cos it was Sunday, nice friendly peeps who brought us to HCMC chinatown for lunch. After Lunch, boy and me went to the War Remnants Musuem before heading back to 'hotel' and then bumped into his work mates and went for dinner with them at Ben Thanh market area...

28.04.08 (Monday)- HCMC to Dalat, Left HCMC early in the morning.. travelled up to Dalat. Reached Dalat at 3+pm.. checked in to Long Binh hotel..(cheapest and best accomodation we got) near to Xuan Huong Lake and then it was off to walk around the market and place again...

29.04.08 (Tuesday)- Dalat, We rented a Bike went around for good and cheap food, went to a lake (not sure what lake, we just followed the road till we found a nice place) and it was a nice lake... went to Bao Dai's house, Crazy House and then lake of SIGHs (we actually saw it as SighTs and tot it will be a nice place to go...until we reached there that we realised it was Lake of SIGHs and gosh it really was SIGH la) and then we headed back to Dalat central, had dinner and back to hotel..

30.04.08 (Wednesday)- Dalat to Nha Trang, Bus tix bought from Sinh Cafe again... and journey took super long.. reached Nha Trang at 3pm and it was "looking for hotels" again... Prices of Hotels doubled..cos 30th April was their independence day and 1st May was Labour day... *DRAGS* found a reasonable priced hotel and it was off to walk along the beach, and Nha Trang town..

01.05.08 (Thursday)- Nha Trang, got on a boat trip for island hopping.. went to 4 different Islands, went snorkelling (but corals were dead, nothing to see) and got a little Tanned =) Out at sea most of the day, went back to Nha Trang, and we ate the best meal ever by the road side Seafood stall.. (lobsters, Big huge prawns, clams) yummilicious....

02.05.08 (Friday)- Nha Trang, slept in till 12pm before we went for lunch.. went to the beach after that... slack, sun tan and JETSKI!!! and then went for yummy road side seafood dinner again before we took overnight Bus (sleeping berth) back to HCMC... left Nha Trang at 9pm

03.05.08 (Saturday)-Reached HCMC at 8am.. look for cheapo hotel to stay (cos 1 night only and cos no more money due to the double rates at Nha Trang) slept til 11plus before we went Kaikai.. went Ben Thanh market to shop and buy things, went to Pho 2000 for famous Pho (beef noodle soup), then went to Fannys Ice cream (MUST GO *recommended by KaiLing* super good ice-cream) and did more shopping at night market outside Ben Thanh marker area....

04.05.08 (Sunday)- HCMC to Singapore... flight back to Singapore.... reached Spore at 11ish Pm...

That's roughly wat we did for the 9 days...enjoyed the slacking, the sleeping, the eating, the crazy, nonsense things we do, the shopping and of cos the Company.. =)
