I especially like this pic... The kids here were very different from the kids we meet elsewhere.. they were more reserved and less willing to shake ur hands etc. Probably due to the lack of exposure they get to 'foreigners'

If u look closely at the pic, you will notice a baby in the small 'boat' as well.. Basically, this small boat and many others will row by to Big ferry when the ferry reached the pier... and their livelihood would be to wait for people to throw coins into the sea, and these people in the small boats will jump into the sea to retrieve the coins, as part of 'entertainment' and get to keep the coins after that. Well for this particular lady, as she has a baby with her, she was unable to dive into the water to retrieve the coins, thus she uses a big white net (as shown in the pic) and well not many pics threw coins in her directions.... That's the sad reality of life.. People who wants to Feel good helping others, at the same time they do not really Help at all....

The main livelihood of the people (sole breadwinners, aka man) here is fishing... for days, dads will head out to sea to fish, sometimes returning with much sometimes nothing.. The kids (2 pics above) of this island sometimes goes without food for a few days....

YeS!!! I'm leaving the Country again... YIPEE!!! cant wait... sorry for the lack of updates these days... been kinda busy and of cos... the Big L has set in... LAZINESS... hahha...anywayz... I'm leaving for Philippines tonight!!!

well part of me wanna leave...cos its once again the great feeling within of exploring a new place yet again, and this time going to do something great for God... at the same time... its being away from everything else... and really its EVERYTHING ELSE!!! On the other hand..am worried... bout leaving at this time...cos seems like many things are happening just before this trip.. *Work of the devil??* but yupz.. shall put my trust in God that nothing bad will happen (home, work etc)

So just some quick updates....

The Lovable Boy and Me
Come 21st this mth... we are gonna be 2 years... lalal time pass SOOO duper fast la... well once again no special big celebration or anything of that sort...since I'm not around.. and he's running course too..... but yupz.. still things still going good...

Just the other day..Silly Boy actually found something I was badly craving for.. (a chocolate flavoured straw that Dawnie brought back from Aussie)... hahha and after that he even tried to find that online...Just for me.. *SWEET* hahaha.. Lovable Boy, am gonna miss u... take care while i'm not around...

The Family and Me
Seriously... things hasnt been very much bearable since mama left us... Empress of the home hasnt been in great moods..and we are kinda subjected to Empress swinging mood swings... Dowager's husband wasnt spared either...

Although Dowager's husband hasnt been doing something good... but still certain things is better left Unsaid and made known to all... everyone...EVERYONE i mean.. especially the one person i sympathise the most with but seldom talk to... lives in fear...

Haiz.. I'm a social worker.. but so wat??? even if i want to help.. the people MUST be willing to participate in the help process before I can do anything... But once i say something... the arrogance in one just makes the help process seems un-Help-able... SO STOP saying things like "you can help others... but u dun bother bout ur own family" when in my own assessment.. I think U are the one that needs help most......

I NEED A HOUSE SOON!!!!!

The work and Me
For those still unaware...I am no longer a social worker!!! Yes u read that right... I am now as of 1st June.. a Rehabilitation Coordinator!!! will be doing rehab prog with Hazel and yeah its gonna be FUN FUN FUN!!!

Heading to Philippines soon...

Not sure if i've mentioned this... But I am leaving town again soon... this time i'm headed to Philippines come June 14th till 22nd... for my GEL mission trip... my 4th ever mission trip ever... 1st one that I'm in charge of.....excited...yet have been really tired and drained of late..cos of this trip....

My 1st mission trip was to KL back in 2001, at that time my Cool Youth leader *name cant be revealed for his safety sake* was still with YWAM...and so we had a link to the reaching out to Drug addicts ministry there...an Unforgetable and memorable trip i must say... Was exposed to drug addicts, the back alleys in KL, seeing pple jab themselves on their highways, seeing transactions of drug and cash happening all in broad day light.. COOL.....

My 2nd mission trip was to Thailand...2003.. that's the trip that we got to know Benz!! and yupz.. was ore of an evangelistic mission, where we went to the tribes and village for performing acts ministry....

My 3rd mission trip was in 2004 just before i started work... to Sibu, Kuching... also an unforgetable experience.. where we got to bath in TEH and Kopi colored water, stayed and slept in the super hot and Humid Long houses, fellowshipping with the long house peeps...

And now.. i'm going for my 4th Mission trip... Not exactly sure what we are doing over there..at Cebu, Philippines.. but likely that we are going into the villages and most probs gonna be children ministry....

So yupz.. Cant wait....we the gellies going for this mission trip..have been real busy and hardworking practising our items (dance, song etc) for the mission trip...but most importantly.. we cant wait to see GOD at work again... for this mission trip...and also drawing closer to God too.. =)

Blooies

6th Month of the year starts today

lalala.. its JUNE!!! time's flying by real fast.. ticking by slowing but Fly past real fast... gosh.. I am getting older with each passing day.. yesterday was public hols and I din even get to sleep in till late... Was woken up by calls after calls from office (dun they realised we are humans and need a life too.. and its Public Hols...so can they spare us? btw the "they" here refers to Parents who think we work there 24 hours a day)

yupz.. so even though i reached home at 5ish in the morning yesterday after mambo, I slept from 6am to only 9ish am... And plus the fact that my bio clock is already set at 9ish.. I woke up at 9ish... (its a sign of getting Old isnt it? when one sleeps lesser and lesser)

Oh wellz, anyway.. met up with my Lovable Boy-Ah Leong *new name for him by Teck* after work... he came back GH to pick me up..and haha we finally solved the mystery as to who the 'mystery man' who spoke to him the other time... Its none other then My big Boss....

Anyway.. Boy brought me to a nice place for dinner.. over at railway mall... went to Blooies for dinner.. had a great hearty meal together..and a great evening.. =)
