that Photo shoot day

That Photo shoot day - 26th July Wun be uploading any pics from photoshoot... (as i said.. stay tune for it on actual day...) haha... So....last saturday we 'reported' for our photo shoot at 10am.

Only slept at 2am the night before...and so..was still feeeling sleepy and tired... and best.. I realised my eyelid got prob -one side there's double eyelid, one side was only single eyelid...(this always happens whenever i do not have enuff sleep or something) BUT BUT BUT>.. why did it have to happen on the PhotoShoot day???

Anywayz, got there at 10am, didnt eat breakfast, and immediately had to sit down and have my make up artist- Sally to do up the make up and hair... changed and all.. Didnt know the whole Indoor photoshoot will take SO SO SO long lor...

Look here, Look there... SMILE... FULL Smile... chin up... Finger Pose.... "wan Quan"...

Gosh... By the time we were done with indoor studio pics...it was already 3ish pm.. and to think we haven gone for our outdoor photo shoot yet...So rushed abit..and then by 3.30pm we were out of the studio...

We have 2 different locations.. first up well we wanted an urban church shoot..so since Jie lynette suggested "St Teresa Church" at telok blangah... we went there... nice place... took some pics before we were chased away cos service was going to start..

Our second location was at Sarimbun and camp christine...like so US right?? since we're both from Scouts and Guides respectivelyy.. so we tot it will be rather cool to tahe pic there... went to Sarimbun and there were many cub scouts there..and we took pictures with them.. and then.. Boy saw many of his frens.. haha like what's new lor...

Then we went over to Camp Christine..and there were girls camping there..bout 400ish of them.. all wearing red tee shirt...and so we tot it would be rather cool to have them as our backdrop.. and hey..the girls were super nice.. they actually formed a Heart shape around us for us for that pic..so sweet of them...

anyway... we finished with photoshoot and off we went back to bridal place...and then it was off to Boy's district campfire we go...and well since I had my Guide uniform with me...haha tot why not i go in my Guide Uniform...and tada... that explains the pic above...and I was like the only guide there lor..cos everyone else was a scout... haha odd one out..but the Special and Unique one there..hahah

Anywayz... hmmm its a month wait before the pics comes out... seriously.. cant wait them to be out..hahahhaa

looking for shoes

Shopping for the right pair of Shoes Went shopping for footwear for the past few days... the footwear for my Big Big day... well.. you may say..its still 5 months away... but haha I needed them for my Photo Shoot..and well.. i'm kinda lazy to look for another pair closer to the Big Day..so decided to just get one that i truly like and glam enuff...

So was shopping with Hazel on Wednesday night... didnt find any suitable... She said it will be good to find those with straps behind...just so to secure my feet and make sure it does not slip out...

On Thursday night...i met my sis at Town to continue shopping for glam shoes... well found Some..but either it was TOO HIGH, or too low... no straps or well NO size anymore....(but found one that was KIV- the one in the picture above) Why KIV?? well cos it was not too bad..cost $29.90 only, but well think it wasnt of good quality..and the shiny surface was those glitter that would fell off after a few wears.... so tot i would KIV it to buy just for photo shoot if i really cant find one i Like...

So on Friday (yesterday, since its Saturday now)... was out with Skee.. went to a few places too. and saw these few shoes that was not too bad, nice, pretty and sweet....

Unique nice shoe- but just didnt like it 100% ly..
SWEET, PREETY SHOE, that i like.In the end i settled for this:
That was the very first pair I saw on Friday, together with Skee.. didnt get it when i first saw it, though it was of the right and comfortable height, pretty and glam enough, love it at first sight... but hmmm price was a little steep and i wasnt ready to part with my monies... But in the end.. after thinking it through... hmm it was gonna be my Big Day shoe.. I should get one that i really LOVE, really comfortable in, and one that i wont mind spending a little more then usual on..and yupz.. so i settled on this pair... $95.20.

Point is... as i was shopping for shoes.. i drew the parallel of shopping for shoe to looking for the right person in one's life... Looking for a right partner is never easy...

First- Timing plays a big big part, to be at the right place at the right time, right moment..I didnt manage to find the pair that i like the very first time (some people do..) but like some others, I too found the one I like and love only after a few tries of Looking around... Same.. sometimes for people/shoes that came... well we just didnt spotted each other... and the opportunity just go by... but i guess for Boy and me... timing was God's timing..and that's how we spotted each other...

Secondly- Finding a pair that fits you well perfectly....one that complements your strengths and weakness, that brings out the best in you... While shopping for shoes.. i found some I fancy, however, they are either too high for me, or some other factors.. same for looking for the ONE... sometimes the person that pops by... might not be the right match in terms of each other's interests, character... though we fancy him/she... In finding for the perfect fit.. its very important that both complements each other (in terms of strengths and weaknesses) and well in biblical sense: weaknesses made perfect in the other... and to be a fit that brings out the best in us.. (that helps us grow and develop as a person) and in biblical sense again: to find a fit that allows growth in Christ together...

Thirdly- Realising that nothing is perfect, but it takes Faith and trust to take the next step forward...I won't really know if my $95.20 was a good spent.. but I'm willing to trust and have faith in it becuase I devoted my assets to it.. Likewise... taking the step forward with ur life partner requires a relationship based on faith and trust.. one that will be willing to face the cost of the relationship (sacrifize of personal time etc) and devote effort into it... in Biblical sense again: a relationship that's based on trust and faith in each other and in Christ...

haha oH wells.. kinda long winded in this post... profound? hehe chimalogy leh.. but well was interesting how God used this shopping for shoe analogy to point out such important fact of life to me..to again highlight that I have indeed made the right choice...be it in choosing the right shoe...or the Right Life Partner...

Day off to shop for wedding shoe

Meet up with Skee dearie Met up with Skee Yesterday (since its already Saturday now)... a Tian Mi Mi time together... its been SOOO SOO long since we last had a tian mi mi time... So cleared time off for the whole day..(have like so many more days of time off to clear =happiness)

So met Skee over at Doby Gault's DOME... went there for their breakfast set...nice peeps there..although we were there late and at that hour, they dun really serve breakfast set anymore..they still allowed us to have it...haha.. there after...it was shopping day...

Skee went with me from departmental stores to stores, shops to shops, malls to malls, to look for a pair of "liang jing jing" aka "bling bling" kinda glam glam shoes... for my Wedding... need them for the Photo Shoot later in the day...

kinda spotted one i like and one that was rather nice over at Centerpoint's Robinson...but well decided to look around still before finalising on that... and well at the same time... we decided to head over to Far East to have our manicure done...

haha my virgin manicure..first ever manicure session... rather interesting one i must say.. and hehe Skee and me 'signed' a package with them.since it was cheaper this way to settle our bills.. haha 3 manicure sessions for the price of 2... so lala closer to the actualy big day..i'm gonna come for the next manicure...

Skee

ME having my Virgin manicure
There after... we were SOO SOOO Careful with our nails.. haha was alittle uncomfy for me initially..but well kinda got used to it after a while... went back to RObinson to get my nice nice shoes...and then it was off to Skee's place we went...

She had some work to do.. while I was still early for my fitting appointment with the bridal place.... so chill-ed at her place...with her applying face mask for me..hahaha..

She left for our frens-ROM (well that's another thing to talk about..but hmm not now... though in short i just wanna say-its kinda irritating and disappointing to know that they kept it so hush hush and didnt even tell us about it...kinda make us feel that we are not regarded as frens to them)

I left for my Bridal appointment.. got there earlier then Boy...and so tried on my gowns first.... well..aint going to show the pics here.. and kill all surprise on wedding day..so haha just stay tune for actual day itself..if u wanna see how my gowns look like how how i look in them....

Peek at my evening gown
Boy and me ended fitting...and it was off to CIty hall to meet the rest of the GEL Core members.. we were having dinner gathering together..over at the Japanese Marche place.. food's not bad..Boy had to head back to work (YA...work... sucky lor... haiz)..and well the rest of us went for round 2 over at Citilink's TCC

Lepak there till bout 11ish before we rushed for the last train home... lalala... gonna go for photoshoot later in the day.. haha excited..or rather..am very very very excited.....

Camp Vision

Back from 3 days at Camp Vision am back from my 5th camp for this period... and tomorrow..am going for my last and final camp-one that i am super looking forward to..although I am super tired now... but yup..its gonna be a fun one i feel...

So back from camp at Sarimbun/Camp Christine from Camp Vision...was there with some of my kiddos..and together with Haz.. we were there as staff to supervise our kiddos..and also as volunteers to camp Vision for programmes....

Dun think i will go into the details..but really find the camp great..for the youths, very good life lessons that i think youths can apply and identify with.. all in all.. truly enjoyed the camp and also the workshops and activties involved.... Pictures time:

Me attempting to take a very "obs advertisement" shot for Haz
We went paddling...Saw some fire dancers1st pic: dreams and aspirations (of which wat i drew means: to have a happy family)
2nd pic: what is stopping me from achieving the dreams (drew bulbs..cos I think tooo much)
3rd Pic: my foot..(no significance)My group at Camp Vision:
The F4
Was overall a great camp, impressed with the number of people coming onboard to volunteer their time and service to this camp, and also their dedication towards the purpose of this camp...
