Christmas 2009

Christmas 2010

Was over very first Christmas over at household of faith.... above pic: The pretty Christmas tree we put up... had a few house parties... starting with the first one on 24th (christmas eve)

We had Leongie's scout friends over (the senior management of his scouts grp-namely: SY, Noel, ZX, LH, WH, Jeremy, Hamida and a few others) and of cos friends of unicorn-Pauline etc... and Pauline was the designated chef for the night...and she whipped out a excellent spread of food....

Next up, on CHristmas day itself..we invited my in laws, aka Leongie's family over for Christmas lunch.. and Leongie cooked his specialty-Bacon aglio pasta... and we had ribs, roast beef and turkey again... (no pix for this though)

In the evening.. my family came over for dinner... was a rather good spread... since we have about 10 of us over.... I cooked Baked pasta, cold pasta salad, and the meat from lunch...Gilbert Gugu came over to join us too..and it was a nice little Christmas reunion i must say..and am glad our Household of Faith is helping us bring the family closer together

On to Boxing day... we had the GELers over at our place... all in Red, and Loud and Boomz clothing...cos the theme was "Red, Loud and Boomz" thanks to Ris Low... and once again we had a superb spread, with all most of the Gellies bringing home cooked food over.... And we ate ham, turkey, beef, ribs AGAIN... 3 days in a row..and I kinda got sooo sick of eating them... like SERIOUSLY.....we sang carols, and the highlight of the night was the gift exchange session where we literally snatched each other's presents...

And then it was 27th Dec.. the day we had my colleagues over... was a small little gathering cos Alicia was back from Aussie..and it was a nice little meet up..... Well Christmas this year was pretty much different from previous years, where it was spent mostly at home, cooking, preparing meals... and playing host to our guests.. but well i must say it was a great Christmas..cosy and sweet, warm and homely... Guess spending time with family and loved ones really make Christmas this year truly memorable.. and prob cos this was our very first Christmas together over at Household of faith =) many more Christmas-es to come...

Blessed Birthday Leongie, happy 1st

Blessed Anniversary & birthday to leongie Brought Leongie to a 'new place' today.. to have some quality nice time together to celebrate our Anniversary and his Birthday... we went to:Marina Barrage..for a small little picnic... (not that we have a lot of food..) Anywayz.. leongie brought his guitar along too..
Us under the brolly
our picnic foodieWas pretty crowded, since its still school hols and also the festive period.. people were trying to fly kites, children running around.. but all in all the place was a pretty nice place to just slack the afternoon away if it was less crowded....
And so we just slacked the noon away... snacking on the little food we brought along, reading our book and also 'sun-tanning' and taking naps... being oblivious to what's happening around the world.. somehow it felt like we were tucked away on a little island by ourselves.. =) *Sweet*
well we stayed there till it was tea time..and it kinda got a little too hot. the sun was scorching hot and our brolly broke due to the strong winds.. so we packed up and head home.. leongie had his company's D n D to attend as well..so we got home and slacked once again on our sofa, watching TV...
Was a nice time just lazing around, doing nothing... a luxury we seldom get these days... more to come we hope...Blessed Birthday Leongie..and Blessed Anniversary!! You've been a great, marvellous, wonderful, superb, excellent, sweetest, loveliest, cuttest, nicest, most amazing, silliest Hubs the past year... and nothing beats having you for the years to come....Love ya...

a year since I do

A year since we exchanged our marriage vows..... Time flies huh? its been a year since i said "I do", since we decided to let God and our loved ones witness our holy matrimonial.. I still remember the very day I walked down the aisle... walking into the arms of the very man that I was going to spend the rest of my life with...
Leongie was God's way of providing the best care for me on earth...
1)caring, and loving me for who I am,
2)sharing my Ups and Downs moments,
3)cheering me up with his ever nonsensical jokes or just being him,
4)vacuuming the floor just cos I dun like to vacuum,
5)waking up early to prepare breakfast for me,
6)adjusting the shower to my favourite temperature just before i use the shower...
7)puts lotion on my feet,
8)giving me shoulder rubs every other day,
9)singing silly songs and dancing silly moves to entertain me...
10) seeing to all our financial needs (keeping good track of finances)
11) Paying for my online purchases
12) Giving me warm big huggies
13) watches TV with me
14) Plays guitar and attempts to sing for me
15) driving me home and picking me up from work at odd hours
16) and the list can go on and on.....

Well must say...marriage life has been great for us both thus far... we have gotten used to waking up early (for me since he is a morning person)/sleeping late (for him since I am a night person)... some minor adjustments and getting used to.. some minor disagreement as we dun see eye to eye for everything..but that's when we grow and learn to accomodate or find solutions...

Its great and lovely to wake up to someone beside you, giving you a big hug, a big kiss, and covering the comforter at night...its great having someone to share your troubles and of cos joy..and its great having a place to stay in together and prepare things together.....

Husband and wife, "you may now kiss the bride moment"

Lighting the Unity candle which is still burning bright..Mr and Mrs Leong..

Well its our 1 year Anniversary today....though most couples would spent it as memorable as their wedding anniversary... we decided to spend it differently...Our church had a adult Christmas outreach...and well since we were part of the church..we decided that we should take part too..we can celebrate anniversary tmr...and we are glad we were part of the church's celebration..we had fun together with everyone else..

After the celebration..the youths (Matt, Carina, Char, Gladys, Darius, Pleong, Me and Leongie) went over to Tampines Mall to catch Avatar...a superb show i must say and we kinda regretted not waiting for the 3D one instead...

Anywayz.. one year on the journey of being Mrs Leong...looking forward to more years to come =)

We went for a massage on day 2 that we were there too.. and a hair cut session on Day 3...Noel, Leongie and Me visited a church on Sunday too...

bday dinner with leongie

Birthday Dinner and date with Leongie Well no off day yesterday...and Leongie was on reservist.. and best he got to be in camp by 11pm last night.. but well got to say..at least I get to spend the evening with him... as compared to previous years when he would either be on course or overseas...

So yupz.. he came over to office to pick me up after work..and we made our way to Jiak kim street.. Nopez. not to Zouk..but to the hotel next door to Zouk...Grand Copthorn Hotel for dinner.. was a simple Buffet dinner over at BROIS...

Buffet Spread
Us at the entranceMe and our appetizer
Food was not too bad i would say... but the dessert was kinda anti climax... wasnt as good as it looks... and well I would still think Marriot's buffet spread is the best..cos they have real nice desserts =) and well if ever any one finds a buffet that have Haagen Das for desserts... LET ME KNOW... =)

Leongie attempting to do a "heart shaped" chocolate
So dinner was done by 9ish..and we took a walk by the riverside to digest off the foodie..before we sent Leongie back to camp..and me making my way back to the East....I met up with NANA, and had supper over at the prata place near her house.. and we chilled and hung out till 2ish before I went home..

Simple Bday celebration this year.. as we grow older.. lesser surprises etc.. no more sabo parties, but well through this year's bday.. i realised something... Previous years.. I would usually be out with friends for birthday etc.. but what I truly enjoyed and felt most touched this year was to spend my birthday with my family..having them greet me at my door at 12am =) Thanks folks...

surprise from leongie...

Surprise from Leongie

Came home from BSF earlier...and This walk way along our balcony was 'decorated' (as per above pic).....was a wonderful nice, sweet surprise to be coming from Leongie... hahaha.. it made my day...

Leongie was home earlier to unpack stuffs from boxes and all..and he decided to lay those things we got from our wedding and whatever cute, nice deco items he found on the walkway, so that i could see them the moment i opened the door...

Thanks dear... it was really sweet and lovely of you =)

early christmas walk this year

Early Christmas Walk
Went to town with Meilan, Char and Leongie after church yesterday, went for dinner together at Cineleisure..and then since we were at town.... Leongie and me decided to do some domesticated stuffs...of 'window shopping' around for items for our household of faith...since we have tons of vouchers given to us from Robinsons, Capitaland, Taka and Ikea...

first stop was TAKA..and it was the "Subaru-put your hand on the car" challenge...Leongie had one colleague taking part and we thought we could drop by to support her..but didnt spot her in the crowd...so we left and went to the household appliances section of taka departmental store...

Bought a nice glass chopping board... with the vouchers that Linus gave us.... and then we made our way over to Centrepoint-Robinson...

Along the way..we got ourselves ice-cream and also started taking pictures..since some of the lightings were up....

Love Christmas to the MAX...and hehe i Cant wait for Christmas this year...as i will be setting up my own christmas tree in the house, putting up lights in the house, and having parties tooo....=) and well I just love the pretty lights and shiny BOOMz stuffs i see during christmas...

those lights, and pretty decorations just brightens up my day, makes me happy...hehehe cant wait to go for my annual Christmas walk down Orchard road..... SKEE dear....when?????

anyways.. we went to watch "My sister's Keeper"... was a nice show..and well had expected myself to cry buckets... but guess what? I myself cant believe it either...i didnt shed any tear at all.... goodness..what happened to me? have i gone all heartless?? hahaha.. oh wellz probably it was due to some irritants seated behind us..that was like trying to 'predict' what will happen next throughout the whole show...and that kinda irritated me.. cos she was speaking sooo loudly and it didnt seem to hit her that others were watchin the show tooo...

Oh wellz, its MONDAY again... blessed week ahead for all... hope to update more regularly.... hahaha and not be lazy....

Dayspring kindergarten graduation

Dayspring Kindergarten's graduation Was a rather busy day yesterday... these days..weekends just seems to go pass FASTER...and it seems to get busier as well.. cant seem to have enough rest and enough time to just stay home and do nothing but ROT and stare into space....

So yupz..most of the day was spent over at Victoria Theatre.. one of our church's members has a kindergarten..and her kids were having a 'graduation' concert and so asked our youths to help out...so we were there to help in managing the kids before and after their performance, helping them get dressed and ready for performance....

They were Super cute.... you can see from the pictures:
My favourite girlThe cute boy...
So the kiddos were really cute...but Leongie and me had his colleagues' wedding to attend..so we couldnt stay for the 2nd session to help out... and had to leave for the wedding at Fort Canning park (Thank God).. so we walked over and it took us less then 15mins to be there...

Unfortunately..it rained real heavily half way into the wedding..and so we were kinda stranded at fort canning park for a long while.. till about 8ish before we finally decided to make our way home to the west to get Leongie's car from his dad who helped sent the car for servicing much earlier in the morning...

and well we went to Leongie's frens' place to pass somethings before we headed home...which was a long drive home from one end of spore to the other end... and then came Sunday....shall update in another post......
