Christmas 2010

Was over very first Christmas over at household of faith.... above pic: The pretty Christmas tree we put up... had a few house parties... starting with the first one on 24th (christmas eve)

We had Leongie's scout friends over (the senior management of his scouts grp-namely: SY, Noel, ZX, LH, WH, Jeremy, Hamida and a few others) and of cos friends of unicorn-Pauline etc... and Pauline was the designated chef for the night...and she whipped out a excellent spread of food....

Next up, on CHristmas day itself..we invited my in laws, aka Leongie's family over for Christmas lunch.. and Leongie cooked his specialty-Bacon aglio pasta... and we had ribs, roast beef and turkey again... (no pix for this though)

In the evening.. my family came over for dinner... was a rather good spread... since we have about 10 of us over.... I cooked Baked pasta, cold pasta salad, and the meat from lunch...Gilbert Gugu came over to join us too..and it was a nice little Christmas reunion i must say..and am glad our Household of Faith is helping us bring the family closer together

On to Boxing day... we had the GELers over at our place... all in Red, and Loud and Boomz clothing...cos the theme was "Red, Loud and Boomz" thanks to Ris Low... and once again we had a superb spread, with all most of the Gellies bringing home cooked food over.... And we ate ham, turkey, beef, ribs AGAIN... 3 days in a row..and I kinda got sooo sick of eating them... like SERIOUSLY.....we sang carols, and the highlight of the night was the gift exchange session where we literally snatched each other's presents...

And then it was 27th Dec.. the day we had my colleagues over... was a small little gathering cos Alicia was back from Aussie..and it was a nice little meet up..... Well Christmas this year was pretty much different from previous years, where it was spent mostly at home, cooking, preparing meals... and playing host to our guests.. but well i must say it was a great Christmas..cosy and sweet, warm and homely... Guess spending time with family and loved ones really make Christmas this year truly memorable.. and prob cos this was our very first Christmas together over at Household of faith =) many more Christmas-es to come...

Happy Blessed Birthday meiMei...Its Brat2 -MeiMei's bday today... and Leongie and me were over at my Niang jia last night.. to "count down" to her bday and also to have dinner.....

Mr Cool turns 78

Mr Cool turns 78!! Mr Cool turned 78 yesterday.. and since the family came by to my household of faith on Sunday.. we kinda got everyone (my mum and other uncle-basically all of Mr Cool's other children) other than just the usualy (same household peeps) to have dinner together.

so yupz.. we went to Punggol Marina to have steamboat.. recommended by my uncle (whom we all call GuGu...) food variety wasnt too good..but well.. it was cheap..and also a very nice place to have dinner..since it was Not crowded at all.. and we set just beside the docking area....

Was a nice evening of gathering... and look forward to such Big family dinners again soon... other then once a year or once in a blue moon only.....can totally remember the last time we gathered for a dinner like this together..was back in 2007 CNY, during Reunion dinner at MAMA's wake... so yupz... let's hope we have such dinner together with everyone alive and happy, talking instead of just during a wake....

Help warm our house-part 1

Help warm our house-Part1 Past 2 days, Leongie and myself have been busy preparing for the "housewarming" for his family and for my family and the churchie.....

Kenny's family came by on Saturday and they blessed us with a Sound System as you can see from the picture above...(PIONEER) and his gramps got us the steamboat set...

And the rest (church and my family) came over last night... and blessed us with the remaining gifts u see from the pic above...

We are truly blessed... household appliances and what we need is slowly being filled up by people... Thanks to God's wonderful provision... got ourselves quite a number of vouchers from different places too...

Anyway.. here's a gift to zoon in on...-Ng family's gift- where wrapper was 'hand made and hand drawn' by Elliot and Ju-nyung...

So cute right?? hahah... the gift they got us was cute too.. hint "welcome to my garden".. look for it at my house when u guys come by...

So yupz.. down with part 1 and part 2 of housewarming.. 2 more to go....

This is Home 2009

2009 National Day National day 2009 was spent pretty simply.. at church..and then home...It was Jacynth's birthday too.. so Happy Bday Singapore and Jacynth....anyway after chuch, the youth leaders had the discipleship study...

Thereafter, we headed back to my aunt's place...to chill.. had dinner there and also slack there..till 8.22pm when the brats and Kongkong recited the national pledge together....

Anyway...am praying and hoping that I do get NDP tickets next year...Why? well cos kong kong really really love watching NDP live.. we used to get tickets for actual day performance cos Kongkong was a RC member and a rather active one.. so all of us get to carry NDP goodie bags and also watch NDP live...

and well i think KongKong really miss watching NDP live..so i really wish he get to have a ticket next year....

SING dollar

SING Dollar!!Caught SING DOllar last night over the Esplanade... a dream academy production, featuring Dim Sum Dollies trio, Najip Ali, Kumar, Hossan Leong, BroadwayBeng-Sebastian Tan, Lim Kay Siu...

Well.. the show was good.. but I think I still prefer Dim Sum Dollies best... and well i felt that Broadway Beng was 'funnier' then SIng Dollar...though i quite like one of the scenes in SING Dollar (MJ Impersonation by Hossan Leong).. oh wellz.. shant comment much..lest i become a spoiler for those who have yet to catch it....

overall the show is still good.. judging from the way my Kong Kong was laughing through the show...yupz.. bought him a tic for the show too..cos he really enjoys all these local productions... (YES my Kong Kong is damn cool and happening one kk)

Some of you would have heard me saying before that My Kong Kong bought us the "Spice World" Movie back when it came out.. and he Love VengaBoys too when they first started out..and one day when VengaBoys was in Town (to have some concert in ZouK).. Kong Kong actually asked if we wanted to go..and he could buy us a tic for the concert... (obviously he doesnt know i was underage to enter Zouk then)..

Oh and Kong Kong recently actually asked Gladys what and Where ZOUK is..and if he can go... (cos he opens the letter box and sieves through the mails..and always see Zouk posting their monthly thingy to Gladys)....Tell me how cool is my Kong Kong??

Anywayz... he seems to really love SING DOllar...and was "hinting" that he want to watch Broadway Beng in Dec too.. so any takers?? oh.. for those who have not had the chance to catch SING Dollar... its still on...they have one last show on 8th August...

God's Love

so yupz... it was kinda like a day off for me today.(took half day leave)..Leongie took off too.. cos we were bringing my mum to the doc... she's been unwell for sometime and now with medication etc....anyway's no worries..Mum's fine..and Yupz..will continue to pray for her.. for God to heal her.

Well was a busy Off day today..other then meeting mum and bringing her to the doc, Leongie and me met up with Chloe to finalise our ideas for reno of the house..since we are getting our keys this Fri...cant wait..we finally have our own House soon....

And yeah went for BSF too..and today's lesson is about consecreting our lives to God.. God loves us and we are set apart for service and so in all that we do we should reflect God's glory upon our lives...

I guess its something that all believers struggles with...its something that we all know be head knowledge that we have to do..but to really do it is a challenge...thus giving rise to many pre-believers thinking and stating that many christians are hypocrites and do not walk their talk whenever they are doing things that doesnt seem to be 'glorifying' God...

But that's human nature... we are all flesh afterall...Who doesnt make mistakes? Main thing one needs to know and understand is that Jesus had died on the cross for our sins once and for all..and all we need to do is to seek His forgiveness wholeheartedly... and to really depend on Him to change and be transformed daily to someone who will seek to do God's work and glorify Him...and then not to do the same 'not so glorifying thing' again...we all make mistakes, but its the way we respond to it that matters...

To the rest of the pre-belivers... do give Christians some slack too.. instead of judging us...encourage us.. help us along..we are all humans too and will make mistakes from time to time....and Christians out there... remember that many people is looking out to see how we lead our lives and how our life reflect the Gospel we are to share....

Pray that we will not lead to temptations, pray that we will walk in the Light of God.. pray that we will be a good testimony for God..and pray that we do not stumble anyone....

Anywayz... after BSF today... Leongie and me went to have a 'meeting' with our Pastors and were informed that they have plans for setting up a cell over at our new place and wanted to know if we are fine with it.....Yipeeee... of cos... when we were looking for house..we were looking for one that could accomodate more people in the house...Sure we welcome a cell at our place...

cant wait for our place...and yup we have given it a name too..shall take pics of the place when we inspect it or collect keys this fri..and upload soon....

Mother day's dinner

Dinner at my place Yesterday was mother's day...its the 3rd mother's day without Mama around..and kinda think since Mama left us...this day was not so much 'celebrated' not that it was very much celebrated before to begin with...we didnt drop by mama's place at mandai cos haven found new flowers for mama yet..and i sent my mum a msg....

anyhow...for mother's day this year i attended a wedding dinner with the Boy.... it was my dear fren aka Senior-Teresa's wedding..and haha was kinda fun at the wedding.. with boy being the only male at the table and clowning around entertaining the rest of us... (pics to be up when i have them)

So yupz.. as for mother's day 'dinner'... well my family did have the dinner as usual.. but we had the dinner earlier on over at home.. we had steamboat dinner with everyone home.. and then it was Wii time...

Well we hung around in the house with the brats , watched some shows on tv and then headed home... I kinda miss the bubbly-ness in the house, miss the brats disturbing me, miss the feeling of having many other people around at home, and i just Miss staying with them all from time to time...

Bowling day

Off to the west we go...

Was a good rest day today... went for church in the morning..and we had mission trip practise after service.... We are heading back to Cebu again this June.... YEAH!!! cant wait...

Anywayz..after church... Boy and me headed to the West...to have dinner together with my-in-laws *aka his family*...over at Zhilong's Work place "Pagi Sore".... some advert time for the restaurant he works in...

Nice food, nice ambience... reasonably priced...if u haven already know.. it serves Indonesian Cuisine..and the chendol done by Zhilong himself is YUMS....

well after dinner, Boy and myself was slacking around..waiting for Zhilong to be off duty so that we can head for kopi with the rest...so while waiting for Zhilong...Boy and me decided to play bowling.....

lalalala.... 5 words... I cant bowl for Nuts...i suck at it...the bowl was always heading to the long kang..But i must say.Boy is a natural pro... and i concluded that I seriously dun have much ball sense... since young..i've never really played any sort of ball games and i think i have some psycho motor problem... my limbs cant coordinate...

Since Bowling wasnt really our cup of tea... we headed to the arcade..to play time crisis..and the hand banging game..needless to say...i'm pretty bad at those 2 games too... but at least i did much better then while i was playing bowling...

ZL finally got off work and we headed over to Bukit Timah area..for kopi with Noel and Lihong.. there i realised i wasnt the most 'suan-able' person....cos at least i know how to play "black magic, what is the time now.. etc etc" hahaha back to childhood days we went....

Was a great day today and its Sunday night now... A long long week ahead again........

Birthdays for the family Was over at our favourite buffet dinner place earlier on..to celebrate bday for the Leong kk..(my uncle).. haha and well since we didnt managed to celebrate bday for Cheryl, Gladys and Kenny too... we had a combined bday celebration all at one...Boy came to pick me up after work and we headed over to Marriot to meet the rest.... enjoyed the food as usual and also had fun there as a family.. =)
