Last 2 weeks of December

Haven been updating for the longest of time... anyone still reading this blog of mine? well.. been pretty busy the last 2 weeks of December... actually come to think of it.. its Kinda busy the whole month...

Been busy with Church GEL's Christmas outreach, sinc i came back from Thailand... went for rehearsals after rehearsals and i kinda missed my yearly Guides gathering.. =(

Anywayz... last 2 weeks of December 2006 saw me:

1) Celebrating the Boy's 26th Birthday!!
Turned up at his place in the morning to spent some time with him...and then we went for lunch before he sent me to office for Christmas Party at GH... and then he came to pick me up again and we went to Chimjes for dinner... Brought him to Carnivore...since he's such a carnivore himself...hahah..Was an enjoyable time spent together.... and he really can EAT... i only managed 8 pieces of meat.. but he had 12... lala...

2) Church's Christmas Outreach "The Journey"
Was glad peeps like Jialiang, Zhu n weilun came to support... *tks peeps*...and of cos Hazel too for Sunday's service.. hehe.. was fun being involved in the production of tis outreach..all the practise and everything else didnt go to waste cos it was all for our dearest Lord Jesus Christ's sake... Hope that everyone who was there was touched with the Love of God and did experience a more meaningful Christmas

3) Christmas Party at Monster's Fish Farm
Had a mini gathering with some of the Odac peeps over at ah ryl's fish farm...didnt really do much, cept sitting around, eating and talking... catching up with everyone else... manz... made me realised how much i miss some of you..cos i haven met up with u all for sooo long..

4) Christmas Countdown with the GEL Princesses
Was in City Hall this year together with the Gel Babes (Charissa, charmian, Celine, Meilan, Gladys, Rynthia and Char's frenS) for dinner and then we kinda cheapo and bought our own drinks to mix n drink over at Esplanade... Countdown to Christmas over there...before we went over to Charissa's place for gift exchange...Cheryl got me and i got Cheryl.. hahah

5)Christmas Dinner with the Family
Still remember, when we were all very much younger, we used to celebrate christmas by going to Mandarin Hotel on Christmas day have some Christmas party lunch, and then at night we will have a christmas home cooked meal together as we all sit around the TV together....But now..we are all Grown up... no more christmas parties in the morning..as we all would probably be sleeping or out tonning at other peeps house....

So we had a Christmas dinner together though not full attendance (cos KongKong was sick, and my bro was out with gf)... went to Thai Express at Bishan...Boy came along.. had a nice simple meal together... And then..Boy and me took the 2 brats and his little bro out.. went to Cineleisure to play arcade games and then we went for ice-cream at Ice Cube and even brought them to Seletar Dam (but they couldnt appreciate the quiet, romantic environment there though)

6) ODAC Treasury meeting
had an ODAC treasury meeting to settle some stuffs from 19th com till now.. 22nd com.. glad everything's settled.. hahah to think i've left odac for soo many years but still kinda in it kinda thing... lala.. But well.. I kinda miss those times in ODAC, all the long long meetings, and all the trips... sighz.. can i go back to those time again???

Basically, that's how my last 2 weeks of December was like... be back for more updates on my trip to Cameron..and also 2006 reflections...

Firstly... Just wanna wish everyone a very blessed Christmas!!! Its Christmas!! my favourite time of the year... heheh... hope everyone will have an enjoyable time this festive season... Loves....

Okies.. been back from Thailand for a week now... as many would know.. was kinda pathetic for me..hahha.. brought 6000 bhat there.. but came back with 5000 bhat... with only 1 new watch and 2 new slippers...

Yes that's true.. din really do much shopping..and most of the time was spent in the bus..cos of the darn traffic jam... on the hindsight, at least there was great lodging and great food... and all Complimentary... hahha..

I only had to pay for airfare That's all.. hahah we were staying in High Class think 5 star place... in service apartments... and we ate good food every other day..cos we were with my aunty's company on the tour...

The last time i was travelling with a tour group was in Sec 2...hahah and after this trip i can confidently say THIS will be the last time i am ever going on a trip with tour... cos I still prefer my usual style of travelling *BACKPACKing, and Free n easy*

Anywayz.. kinda random in my thoughts..so haha that explains the incoherent entry...haven really been to many places before..but I've been to thailand a couple of times before this trip..and i've seen worst toilets before (thinking back at the toilets i visited in Tibet)... well Thailand's toilet isnt that bad...

But, somehow... this trip made me realised how much i'[ve taken our dear SIngapore Toilets for granted...and how blessed and fortunate i am to be born in Singapore... Singapore still has the best toilets ever...hahah we can just dump whatever used toilet paper into the toilet bowl... and still flush it down...but its not the same elsewhere...

So many times during the trip i actually threw toilet paper into the toilet bowl and went "OPPS" hahah..

anothre thing i concluded..Singaporeans are really horrible travellers... they are kiasu, they are mean and they are just too pampered...the kiddos are real spoilbrats.....

Woo Hoo... leaving the country once again...lala.. just 4 mths back i was here... flying to Nepal.. this time its to Thailand for jus 4 days.. haha feeling isnt the same...*Of cos..since the previous was just me and the Boy*

But well nonetheless.. still nice to be going away... hahah Dun miss me peeps.. take care till i'm back.. =)

Yeah.. gonna be flying off in a Plane again.. in a few hours time... hahah..cant wait... I am always excited about leaving the country... especially in a plane.. hehe... though its just a few days..and it isnt a trekking trip.. but haha it is a Rest and Relax and slacking trip..

No planning... going with my aunty and 2 Brats...and gonna go there to shop.. hahah... wonder if i will really buy loads of things back... lala.. anyway... its already 2.30am..and I am supposed to be in court later before flying off...and here i am transfering songs from com to ipod...

Met up with the lovable Boy in the evening..he came to pick me up.. *feel so pampered*.. anywayz... went for dinner at Wheelock place..in a Jap restaurant.. bought Christmas pressie for Brat 1 and also his brothers... well i'm leaving tml..and when i am back on Monday.. he's leaving for KL..

Our timing really clashes ALL the time.. oh wellz... he sent me home.. and then i went home to pack my stuff... and within 20mins.. i was out for supper.. *and u wonder why i always complain that I am gonna be disowned Big big time...*

Met Weilun and MAN for supper...was supposed to meet them on Tues night but in the end we postponed it to tonight... so we went to Adam road food Center (I actually told my family i was going to my house downstairs Only lor) to lim kopi.. was just a short catch up.. but well good to know updates from one another...

Oh wellz..the idea of doing something rash like booking an air ticket to somewhere...and travelling on my own has hit me again suddenly..and was asking MAN and Weilun where will be a good, nice and safe place for a silly goose to travel..I din wan a developed country..and i dun have much money..so only place was Asean countries.

And i dun mind going to ASEAN countries... haha and Silly Man joked bout 'stalking' me.. I knew it.. immediately told him that I knew right from start he had something for me.. hahaha our silly MAN and WOMAN thingy between us..

Okies dokes.. kinda sleepy le.. finally the transfer is done.. so yupz.. off to bed i go.. Dun miss me dudes and babes... Be back on Monday.. =)

Been hanging out quite a lot with my fellow pigs (KKMM, Haz and Ah Teck).. most of the times are usually after work, crapping and talking bout 'throwing' letters, bout the 'ccb spirit' bout NC16 and sometimes M18 and sometimes R21 things, and also drinking out 'pi jiu' (beer) *Root Beer in actual fact* and also doing silly things together....

Monday 11th Dec 2006
Stayed back at Gh after work.. and we decided to cook up a mini meal.. with Haz mini steamboat... impromptu decision..since we had food in the fridge since last wed.. din want the food to go to waste..so lala.. we actually cooked us something to eat...

Was machiam doing illegal things.. haha found ourselves a room... plugged in the steamboat thingy, got my Ipod blasting from Ah Teck's Speakers, we started preparing the food.. haha damn funny.. kinda feels as though we were in our own house kinda feeling...

We din have much seasoning.. (nothing actually) so we used the MSG from Maggi mee..to marinate our Chicken fillet, sting ray and our soup base... haha super MSG filled dinner... but it was a fun night.. Capt came to join us much later.. and we talked abit bout Miss J.. haha

Boy came to pick me up.. and we went to Adam Road's hawker center for his dinner.. before heading home.. so nice that he's out everyday this week =)

Met the lovable boy again after work... went to VivoCity...walked many rounds around looking for food... haha in the end we ended up in Burger King.. lala.. and after dinner..went home and it was slacking time.. till he concussed and Aunty had to send me home again....

Another happening night out with the piglets... had a short talk with "mummy" (Aunty Serene) together with the piglets...and hmmm.. interesting things happening... lala.. anywayz.. the piglets and me cabbed down to town after work...

Went to this place at Centerpoint area: Alleybar... Haz fren (edmond) was working there..so we go there to see see look look and CHill... he's an interesting and very frenly person.. nice to talk to and fun to get along with.. hahaha...

well must say the night out was great... unwinding and haha being more familiar with one another's "true self" lala..

Slept in till real late... its been like super long since i hv the chance to really Nua and sleep in bed till sooo late... ignored all my phone calls as well..haha maybe from time to time i should really just off my phone...

After dragging myself outta bed... me went to church for Gel meet..and after Gel meet..went to Tampines for dinner with my aunt n 2 Brats...walkwalk abit and then its Home i went...*guai?? haha nopez..more like i'm tired*

Spent half my day in church today... rehearsals and trying to decorate the place for our upcoming event... the Boy was havign adventure race today...and I prayed that his knee wun give him prob..hehe and his knees were fine thru the race...and him n his team-mate came in 1st

well Boy came to pick me up from church and we went to Bukit merah for dinner with weihong n Zhilong..and then we went to Holland V for kopi...haven met them for about a month..still funny to see them bickering..haha...oh..and Ah Teck came by to 'see' Ah leong (Boy) and had kopi with us all...

Sunday 3rd Dec 2006

Me at Stand Chart marathon...

Yeah... went for the Standard Charter Run.. only 10km though.. haha but hey.. achievement for me...cos i ran the whole 10km without stopping.. heheh my running gang was: Papa bear, KKMM, haz and ZhaoYing.... and of cos.. Lovable Boy was there to pace me thru the whole race...

Saw quite a number of peeps there too: Lulu, yanling, wenjun, roland, rohting, xiaohei.. and of cos the whole 21km gang (Skee and co) was there too..after the run.. boy n me went over to ecc to bath and then met Bear, KKMM, Haz n ZY at City Hall's cafe cartel for breakfast...

after the breakfast.. bear went to meet the 21km gang while Boy and me went back to his place.. concussed big big time... slept all the way till dinner time and we went for dinner with his family and went for Ice-cream even.. =) then we went for Movie at west mall: Casino Royale.. nice show... but i still prefer the previous BOnd better...

Monday to Wednesday
Worked late.. stayed late in office, together with Haz and Ah Teck.. haha loads of crappy talks and of cos doing sily things and also.. drinking our new found favourite drink.. our "PI JIU" (beer).. no worries.. its only ROOT BEER>...

we were decorating our SW room and clearing the room's store room..was really fun doing those silly things together.. =)

A whole day of running around...Went to work real early... met a girl at CGC for dr appointment.. and then it was off to Town to meet Teck n Haz.. to get pressies, have lunch and also kettling..

Oh ya.. me n my fellow SW peeps will be stationed at Pacific plaza to Ring bell.. so free do walk past to say Hi.. hahah.. so Haz and me was ringing bell from 3 to 5... and Teck went to shop during that time..n met up with us at 5 and we went for "Free" Kopi at Starbucks.. (cos we donated money for the kopi haha)

I left them to head towards ViVocity to meet my aunt n Pearlyn..cos it was Ah Mei's bday.. so we planned a bday surprise for her... was there to cut cake and then i went 'shopping' at the big Daiso haha before heading back to GH again...

was supposed to have a mini steamboat.. but it didnt happened... cos we were alll too busy decorating rooms..and doing last min preparation for our Thanksgiving night (more on that in the next post)

Friday 1st December 2006
Had nice yummilicious crab today..for dinner...courtesy of Teresa's bf: Jeff... *claps* for him..for having cooked up such a tasty feast for us all.. *more on that later*

So yupz, my friday, the 1st day of December started with me waking up real early at 6ish..for me to reach office real early at 8am.... was going on a Hike with the Big Boys from my work place...

Together with PIC and Haz... my fellow Chiong Sua colleagues..hahah anything to do with adventure, getting dirty in the great outdoors, we will go if no one else wanna go... so off we went with 7 other boys..to Bukit Panjung area...

was hiking from the mandai foresty area...thru the woodcutter's trail... My 1st time there...so pretty exciting actually... hehe..we bought some food and then off we went... the kiddos were supposed to navigate their way around...while we tag along...

Initially we were going the right way...as time wears on... we realised we were bashing into never been trekked and hiked before paths...so we were bashing into thorny places...haha Its been ions since i was in such places...

MOst of the kiddos were kinda sianz...guess they have been too sheltered all their lives, never been exposed to such activities..most of them started complaining etc..while the 3 of us *PIC, Haz and me* was super happy to be away from work... we were singing song NON stop, irritating or entertaining them? i dunno.. haha

Well we did make our way out FINALLy at bout 3pm..and we went to the Prata house at Casurina area and ended the day hike with a great feast..before returning back to office.... Once back in office..it was back to reality...screaming and demanding kids. ARGghhhh

anywayz... wasnt too bothered by those yelling kids... cos i left work soon after and make my way over to Teresa's house... and yes.. we had the yummy crabs... haha nice Cari, -G-, Jas, Teresa and Jeff.. hehe gave me the Claw to eat..cos that's like the only part that i know how to eat...

After we washed up the dishes, it was Games time...played Bridge and also a super complicated game that Cari intro-ed to us... before we sent G off at the bus stop...and waited for Ching to come.. Ching finally came and we played more Bridge till i decided to call it a night..cos i got to wake up early the next morning...

i miss my days in odac

I Miss my Logistics Family, the log cell maintenance we have once a month....the monthly gatherings....

I miss my fellow ex-co and the long long meetings we had
I miss the times i led trips and gone on trips...especially STONG

And also the Nua-ing time in PhiPhi Island

I miss planning for RACE even....

My 3 years in NUS would not be as fun, as memorable, as exciting, as crazy, as stimulating, as adventurous, as Awesome, as thrilling, as exhilirating, as motivating, as inspiring, as wonderful, as fantastic, as superb and as meaningful.....

Went for run again with my fellow piglets at work...2nd 'training' this week.. hehe all thanks to our "mo gui instructor" KKMM.... at 5pm (the time we were supposed to meet for our healthy activity).. we *haz, Teck n me* kinda making up excuses not to go jog...

But KKMM came along..all changed and ready to go jogging..so lala off we went... ran around our work area again.. even did circit training today..haha push ups etc... looks like such healthy activity will kinda happen every week...

WEnt back to office after the run, washed up and we got ready for our conference...was super hungry liaoz..but we Lun... till after the meeting ended...and then it was Binge feast for us the 4 pigs again...

These days seems like its just the 4 of us hanging out more often...more things to talk about, and we kinda drew closer...i enjoy our times together...and the crazy things we talk about... haha... anyway....We went to our usual kopitiam.. had our 4some.. haha this sounds totally wrong...

We all went home early today...and Joey came by to pick me up..cos she was coming over to my place to pick up some things she wanna borrow for her nepal trip.. lala..its always exciting to know of frens going to nepal..

Anywayz. loan her some of my stuffs and then sent her down and I took a slow walk home... nice time walking and reflecting too.. =)

Planned for Blading with Jasmine, after work today...So Jas came all the way from Bukit Timah to GH to look for me, and we took a bus to ECP area... but sadly... we the 2 kuku bandungs..kinda forgot that Blade shops might not be opened by the time we reached..

And lala.. the shops were all closed by the time we got there... Ching came to look for us, and we decided that since we didnt manage to blade..we shall walk... haha and walked we did.. we walked to the hawker center and to Bedok Jetty area...

and we feasted there too... had wanton mee, hokkien mee, rojak, fried oyster, sugar cane, pohpiah... was sooo super full la.. Well Lovable Boy was running course at East Coast this week and not at Ubin..so msg-ed him to tell him i was at the hawker center..

and he came to look for us..haha lala a rare thing to see my lovable boy on a weekday manz... we all hang around at Bedok jetty for awhile and then we started to walk back to Mac slowly...while Lovable Boy continued his jog back to his camp...

We reached Mac at 1 and we stayed there till 2ish till i said... "i think we better get going..before I get disowned".. yeah yeah.. ah Ma is kinda angry with my late nights Again.. haha.. its "her time of the month" hahah... so yupz.. went home and went str to bed..

Thank God.. haha the moment i lied down on my bed... my Ah ma woke up to go toilet..haha i remain as still as possible to "pretend" that i was like sleeping like a dead log.. okies.. shall attempt to be guai kia today... hahah

Haven done my "fact for the day" for some time... well that's a fact for u... Pigs get sunburn too...haha just like we human get sunburn (I get burnt all the time)...

Anyhow, of late i think i am one healthy "Pig" hahah been at least doing 1 healthy liftstyle activity once a week... look at blog for the past month and u will see at least 1 healthy activity once a week... went running, went kayaking, went swimming, went blading and also went cycling...

Yipee... Sports council will love me soo much.. I am advocating their "Sports for life" thingy.. haha okies..crap aside... updates:

Spent rather little time with my Lovable boy this weekend... He was in scouts camp...while i was busy with Christmas Outreach event rehearsals...went kaikai with Char and Mee Lee till it was time to meet the Boy at City hall..and then it was Dinner and watching tv and slacking at his place...

Went for Run in the evening with my fellow "Pig Mates" (KKMM, Teck, HAz) hahaha KKMM aka My PIC is our "mo gui" instructor... haha... we ran in the rain...was quite an enjoyable run... in the rain...

Love running in the rain *i know i'm weird* cos it is just soo cooling..after the run...we went back to office...PIC left and he came back and bought super for us...so we had prata while Teck conduct some Biology lessons for us.. hahaha

anywayz... gonna go blading tonight with Jasmine Wong again.. hehe super healthy me!!!

Woke up real early..Brat 1 (Pearlyn) woke me up from my dream... so i dragged myself outta bed..and got changed and we went to run...if i didnt run... it would have been my 3rd week of not running liaoz..

Took me great pains and effort *okies i am exagerating here* to build up my love for running, so cant afford to lose the motivation to run... heheh;.so off we went to run..din really run much..think we onli covered 3km..

Went home, washed up and i was outta the house..went to Simei to meet Char and Mian..was going to their other house to Swim, Play water and Tan!!! well my attempt at learning swimming kinda failed AGAIN..so i was dipping in the pool and trying to get myself darker..

Went for lunch and then it was off to church we went... after church... rushed down to Settlers Cafe at Clarke Quay.. my NQRJLB had a gathering there... not very good turnout...but we (Dawnie, Teck, Haz, Yizhen n Me) did had fun..

Dawnie left earlier..and the remaining 4 of us continued playing..playing with nonsense NO brainer games..untill we actually spilled our drinks hahaha.. Bear came by so did ZY.. so we all adjourned to Porridge place for part 2.

haha...interesing that Bear quite can click with my colleagues.. haha... ended the night out with all at 1 and we headed home.... totally tired out..

Just came home not too long ago... once again..it was another..dun feel like working til too late day...so i left early...went to meet Skee at City Hall.. had plan to go kai kai to buy things... but well in the end..we didnt have much time..cos i still left work late.. hahah

So we met...went to collect our Standard Charter Run race pack... woohoo.. the bag this year is nicer..and the tee shirt is nicer too..although its super "stand char" advertisement hahah.. manz.. cant believe the run is like Next Sun lor..

Jialat... i kinda break my running stamina liaoz.. cos i haven ran for 3weeks.. Darn.. lala.. let's hope on race day i can tahan 10km..(to many 10km is nothing) but for me.. Well to think i haven properly ran more then 7km without stopping etc before.. i think 10km will be an achievement lor.. haha

Anywayz.. saw Rohting when we were collecting the pack.. haha this year's running gang like quite happening.. got more peeps.. hehe well.. we collected the pack..and off we went to Yakun toast to lah kopi and check out the goodies in the bag.. while waiting for Bearie to come..

Was meeting Bear for dinner, while skee meets Siang Yin and Eileen.. both are peeps whom i've talked to before..and kinda know la.. but haven met for ages...so in the end we kinda decided to go for dinner together.. and had kopi together at Coffee Club at Marina..

Decided to go for Phantom of the Opera together too.. haha Bearie gonna get the tix for us all .. hehe Yipee!!!! anywayz.. we even started talking about weddings.. and rings.. haha goodness.. kinda concluded that getting married is super expensive la...

Anyway.. it was a nice night out..with Siang Yin and Eileen.. nice peeps to talk to.. haha and yupz.. haha made up my mind on something.. haha I am gonna become an Ipod supporter soon.. hahah..

Well turning in to bed soon..cos gonna wake up early to run..and then head to Simei to go Char's house to Swim n tan..and then its off to church.and its gonna be a long night out with my NQRJLB.. hahah (as if we dun see enuff of each other huh?? that we are still meeting on a sat night) hahah

Christmas Walk 2006

Yearly Ritual down Orchard Road

Had my yearly christmas walk last night... with Skee..... Earlier on in the day... kinda slack at work.. everyone not in the mood for work.. so made a home visit and then Off i went to meet Jasmine and -G-

They were at Holland V...so went there to lah kopi with them...haha lah kopi during working hours.. Great!! luxury manz.. and we had a heavy dinner at the kopitiam and then off i went to meet Skee...Zhu was supposed to join us..but she was caught up at work.

Meeting point was at Tanglin Mall...We usually end our walk at Tanglin mall.. but this year we decided to start there and walk towards Orchard instead....

While waiting for Skee... the "snow show" came on.. haha it was Snowing at Tanglin Mall.. and it was the 1st time i actually see it... cos past few times I happen to come too late or too early for the show...

ALthough it wasnt real SNOW SNOW... but hey must say it was a pretty sight... can imagine how it will be like if i was seeing actual real snow falling from the sky manz.. Seeing the kiddos play really make me wanna relive my childhood again...

Was really a nice sight to see how peeps of different age, different races playing together... young and old.. families enjoying themselves.. Christmas really brings out the spirit of Love... though Christmas is like 1 mth away..but the temporary moment of being in TangLin Mall kinda got me all excited about Christmas...got me into the season of Love...

Anywayz.. Skee came, snow show was over.. but we stil had fun taking pics in the foam..haha and then we started our walk.. went to Wisma for her dinner..and we actually witnessed a couple quarrelling.. hmmm... so weird for us..

Then we walked down all the way to city Hall and back to her place...for me to take a bus home.. Christmas lightings this year wasnt that fantastic..but the company was once again great...

Slept my Sunday away... Great nice Wonderful PAPA bear sent YuJie and me home after our 120km night of cycling... he was super awake unlike us..and i kinda felt bad we concussed all the way while he sent us home..

So i got home, everyone was already in churchie...was too SLEEPY to bother bout anything else...showered and i went straight to bed... and i literally slept all the way till 5pm... woken up by Mr Leong...

He came by my place...decided to go for dinner and so i finally got outta bed... and we went to Suntec with his dad and Jo (his little bro) together..to watch the Motorshow.... wasnt that keen actually..since I'm not into Cars or babes..but decided to go and see the babes since peeps always say got chio bu there...

well.. correction.. there wasnt babes to begin with..the girls at the car show was *eekks* only 1 or 2 can make it lor..the rest was super cannot make it...trying too hard to look pretty... goodness..to think those guys (desperados as can be) can be busy taking picture of the girls instead of the cars..

and yes...in the end i found the beauty of the cars more pleasant to look at lor.. hahah.. and i think My Boy feels the same too.. lala.. after the car show..we went for dinner before heading home...

Saturday 18th Nov 2006 - Sunday 19th Nov 2006
WOke up early... went to Char's house.. to plan christmas outreach publicity.. in the end we din really do much.. hahha..and we went to church early...

Me left churchie early..was headed to ECP to meet the rest of my siao-onz cycling mates: (Chimy, Kenny Boy, Papa bear, Vin, YuJie)..had a quick dinner and we were off to registration booth....

We were placed in Group 3...and well they left at 9pm...and weilun (who is lending me his bike) is not here yet..so they left..while i waited for Weilun and his fren... and then when they came..we 'rushed' off...and decided to join the rest at our first rest point...

Weilun, me and his fren "Chang Cheng" (i think) cycled with group 1 to West Coast Mac and waited for the rest to come..and then we joined group 3..the "Bia" group... and they really bia-ed... travelled at 40km per hours lor...

Must say it was 'xiong' to keep up with the zai people's speed, by going at 30+km/hr..but it was great too...all the adrenaline rushes..haha totally enjoyed the ride... chiong-ing all the way...

The whole journey took us from: ECP to WCP to Lim Chu Kang to Kranji Dam to Mandai area to Seletar Dam to Jalan Kayu to Old Tampines road to Changi Coastal to ECP.... all in all at least 120km...

SOme peeps said we covered more then 120km...some said it was 140km...but well whatever it is.. I enjoyed the ride...surprisingly my legs wasnt too tired..it was more of fighting the ZZz monster that was bad....

the last stretch of ride from Coastal to ECP was the worst... trying hard to stay awake...and its like some never ending winding road...goodness...and still trying to keep to the 20+km per hour..despite being super sleepy, and after the whole night of cycling.... but know what??

I DID IT...hahaha.. completed the Round Island Challenge 2006!!!

Durian supper night.. the long awaited one... finished work early, and headed home...and lalla there was Cell at home... and so i stayed home for cell..till it was over..and then VinVin came to pick me up...

By the time we were there... durian was already on the table... goodness.. 2 Durians for $104... super ex la.. but hmm durians were real BIG... but hmm wasnt that Great la..

Anywayz.. durian supper turn out was great... there was 19 of us.. (me, papa bear, VinVin, Bings, Yew Tian, Mei, CK, Zhu, Ash, Monster, Skee, Terry, Carol, Chimy, Kenny Boy, Rohting, Jas, XiaoHei)... silly MAN u 'dua' us... if not for u.. we would have reach 20 peeps lor.... =p

Anywayz.. was supposed to go jogging yesterday..but in the end..i was too slack.. so us (haz, teck kkmm and me) decided to postponed it to next week..

Met Ching at night...after GH's bbq n campfire... was supposed to jog with her too..but in the end we just feast the night away at Mac with G and Cari..hahah they told me the most incredible story ever...

something that u will never believe happened in real life.. goodness gracious..still in the after shock of it.. lalala.. goodness.. anywayz.. after the 'shock' we went home..and i concussed the moment i got home....

1st Aid Course

I am a certified first aider now

Yeah yeah..am a certifield first aider... previously was sort of qualified.. but not certifield..but as of Wednesday 15th Nov, I am one.. hehe...was in a first aid course from monday to wednesday... the course was conducted at GH and quite a number of us attended the course...

Monday 13th Nov 2006
First day of the course...nothing much... learned some normal bandaging..and also theory lesson... did read those before...so well nothing new.. but still it was good to like be at work and yet not doing work kinda thing..

after the whole day of course..was kind of too drain to do anything... went to Haz room to talk.. and KKMM and Teck came too..was there talking and then we decided to go out for dinner...and our dinner took hours.. haha only returned to office at 10ish... but was a good talk... knowing more about pple u work with.. =)

It was another day of lessons...and CPR too.. totally drained.. i left early today..went to City area to meet Ching, G and Jasmine... had dinner at Mos Burger and we spent the whole night there talking about crazy classmates we used to have..

peeps with bad breath..peeps who were ecentric... peeps who were just in a world of their own, bout how we have all grown and changed soo much... goodness...its been 8years since i left SAC manz... scary.... hahhaa

It was First Aid Test day....well the 2 "lowest life forms" in the whole class (that's me and ah teck) proves the fact that we being the youngest still have the most active brains.. hahah.. we NEVER study...but we managed to top the class.. hahah *Smug look*

and i was the first to do my CPR test with another colleague...and hehe PAsS!! well after test.. it was another.. dun feel like doing anything day...so went to eat dinner with KKMM, HAz, and 2 other colleagues... all the way at Simpang bedok..

and then it was back to office..and do some paper work..and went home real late day AGAIn...

Sunday 12th Nov 2006 (part 2)
Lovable Boy wanted to give me a Birthday Treat... lalala.. and when he decided on a place... he msg-ed me the night before (while i was still in camp) to have me be in formal wear..and i didnt know where we were going then..

I went home after church, concussed and he Called.. to tell me what time he will be picking me up.. got dressed and lala..both looked great.. hahaha He was in Long Sleeves shirt and pants, and me? nicely dressed..appropriately dressed for the occasion... in his words.. "You look Stunning"... *nuff said*

So off we went.. we were going to Equinox!!! never been there before.. heard soo much bout the place.. and I'm finally going there myself.. walked in Swisshotel.. and went to the lift that brought us up to 70th floor..

My goodness.. view up there was Great.. spectacular... bird's eye view of the whole city.. awesome.. =) we got to our table..and took some time to order food.. and well the whole night ambience was just great...

Food wasnt that fantastic.. as many would say.. U're paying for the view.. and i would agree with that... but well its the COmpany that matters most.. I was in good company... and in the nicest of place too.. felt like we didnt wanna leave manz..

When we finally left.. well the ironic part is that.. after dinner we decided to catch a movie..since we were too full to eat/drink...got to the cinema but there wasnt much shows available and we ended up watching GROSS show- Texas ChainSaw...lalal.. shant go into details....

BUt well.. less the movie bit.. the evening was great...just din wanna say goodbye to each other.. cos we will be 5days apart again.. ahha its the weekly 'short being apart' from each other resistance again....

Friday 10th Nov 2006
Left office late...and headed home to pack my stuffs... Lovable Boy came to pick me up.. and we went for dinner together at Newton had yummy stingray..and best... I ate some chilli padi to "haolian" to the BOy that i can manage that ....

*Sobz* silly chilli..burnt me n my tongue big big time... Anywayz... picked Ching up..and we were off to camp... thru the long quiet road... if i was the one driving in alone.. goodness i will be so darn scared la..

Anywayz... nothing much...by the time we reached campsite..it was close to bed time.... Ching n me talked abit before we fell asleep... It was definitely great to be back in Camp Christine...

Special thanks to the Lovable Boy for sacrificing his rest and sleep time to send me there.. *hugs*

Saturday 11th Nov 2006
Day 2 of camp..was supposed to wake up early to run..but lazy us..woke up just in time for breakfast..hahah then it was the morning inspections before our first activity for the day...

The "ku-ku-ku" of the birds, the morning dew on the grass, the smell of Camp Christine..everything seemed way to familiar... seems like back in Sec school days when i was a guide.. only difference now..is that I'm a senior.. and i was not the lowest life form..although.. i was the lowest life form among the seniors.. haha

well in the end only Me, Hendriks n Janice went out to sea to kayak with the girls... was out in the sea for 2 hours..and i was super burnt liaoz... went back for lunch and then it rained real heavily... so din kayaked in the later half of the day..onli managed to carry the kayaks back in the rain..

rest of the day was rather slack..had dinner and we turned the girls in early as we prepared the clues for the next day's Amazing Race...and we (Ching, Jas, Teresa and me) was super desperate for our game of bridge that we used paper to make "cards".. hahaha

Played till 2ish..till we heard funny knockings on the window... yes at 2ish.. and hmm all those silly "camp Christine was haunted" stories started flowing back.. haha.. so yupz.. decided to turn in for the night...plus we were waking up early, cos we are leaving camp early next morn too..

Sunday 12th Nov 2006
woke up early.. i was going to church..while the girls were going to help their fren in his marriage proposal to his gf.. lala.. so off to church i went..and surprisingly..i was quite awake despite not sleeping much.. haha

But after church i went home str..and concussed.... tired out...but I went out at night for dinner.. =) stay tuned for part 2...

Part 2 of Birthday celebrations

Went to City Hall to meet my guides mate...(Jas, CHing, -G- and Teresa) *cari couldnt make it in time*... so yupz.. went for simple meal together... and it was a test of Vocab day where they were hooked to the "ER" game i play.. haha

ER game: adding ER (r) to words like.. Spoil, Steal, Joke, Lose, Destroy etc etc... haha Ultimate LAMe monster was there and both she n me was at our usual suan-ing acts again.. lala..Jas and Teresa had to leave early...

So Ching, Me, -G- went for Ben n Jerrys...*love icecream...and I love Ben n Jerry's* hahah... yummilicious... and the 2 nice girls walked me to Mr Bean... cos was meeting another monster-Little MOnster and Vin there..

While walking to Mr Beans, we kinda checked out a place near the old national library.. "Timbre".. nice place... will go there some day..

Anywayz.. went to Mr Bean...and Ryl came with Vin...Ching n G joined us all for awhile.. haha to 'spend' the last few moments of my bday with me...and lala.. Ching n G was telling Ryl n Vin the silly statements i made last year during the walk....and of cos Ryl n VIn had to tell CHing n G bout the "xiao Qing zhao Huo" statement i made....

lala.. I was suan-ed again....anywayz... Vin brought me D24 Durian cake..cos he bought durain cake for his mummy..who happens to share the same Bday as me... *thankies Vin for the cake*

and yes... last few moments of my bday was definitely great.. haha laughed a lot and well spent... Thanks Ching n G, Little Monster and Vin... =)

Birthday Blues

Well... birthday is not just bout feeling happy.... can have birthday blues too...other then the fact that you're one year older... what other thing can attribut to birthday blues?? here's a list i came up with...

1) Having your loved ones forget its your birthday
2) Having expectations for the Birthday celebrations and not having it met
3) People you think will remember your birthday, din remember
4) Waiting expectantly for something to happen but nopez..
5) No one remembered its ur birthday
6) No one msg-ed, or called or wished you..
7) Its the last birthday you're gonna celebrate..
8) Having no one to celebrate it with you

Hmmm..cant think of anymore.. what else??? well... Was saying... sometimes i do get birthday blues... *since Sec 4 till now* cos my bday always coincides with exams time..so my Pre or Post bday celebrations would usually be more happening then my actual bday itself..

But thank God this' year was different... spent it with people who are close to my heart.. =)

but wun deny the fact that i did feel alittle down still this year.. *always do* whenever its bday..cos.. guess what? my own parents forget my bday... lala.. and then it will get me into the whole "depression" state of... sighz.. why why why....

Well bday would be near perfect... but well my so called Dad called me... well He did remember it was my bday...called and talked a whole load of stuffs... asking how I've been and if i face any problem...let him know he will help... WHAT CRAP lorz...

Point is... why bother?? after all these years of leaving us to fend for ourselves..cos "we turned 21 liaoz" , leaving us to my aunt and family (not even doing ur part), why bother to come and ask if i am doind fine? OF cos i am... I survived and i will survive..and its not cos of YOU... so dun come and pretend to be nice and be the 'father' now..

One fren said: "refuse to think the worst, but just cant help thinking if its because you n bro have started working, and he knows he's growing old, and his other family is not working out" Yeah.. agree with my fren... lalal..

Okies.. this is an issue in my life i think i need to deal with... never feel soo much against him before.. not untilll i left Uni and started work... the not so nice feeling i have towards him just started growing.... Oh best.. and to think i dun harbor that much not-so-nice feeling towards my mum n tt stepfather of mine....

Its still my day!!!

Lalala.. guess what?? I din go to Office at all today.. Slacker me.. and best..my reason? haha cos its my BDay... *lala like BIG deal??* haha but yupz.. not in the mood la... just decided to take time off to Spend time with family....(yes u seen it right... Spend time with my family.. peeps Who love me most and I treasure most)

*and just so happened, my aunty was on leave today... * "God's timing"

So..was out in the morning.. for work.. went for a "Tua Zhong" case conference....and after the conference..i made my way home... changed and brough my Ah ma out to Town to meet up with the Brats (Pearlyn, Ah Mei) , Cheryl and my aunty...

went to Seoul garden for lunch... Its been a long time since i been to a seoul garden man.. *so old school* hahah and we ate LOADs manz.. till now..i'm still super full... and i think I should make quite a good cook in future..when i do learn how to cook.. haha

Cos i came up with quite a few dishes..Cooked my own style...and Ah Mei said it was nice.. heheh. so decided to go learn cooking soon.. =) anyways.... we went kaikai after eating... and then.. now I'm home... (Not for long though.. haha cos going out soo.. meeting my Guides mates...)

Oh wellz.. nice afternoon out.. with my family... too long i've been away from home (work, out etc)... so its nice to spend time with them once in a while...Anywayz.. got to run.. be back for more updates......

Was to meet up with the ODAC gang, din really know who was going anyway.. but yups. cos Skee dear wanna bring me to Jurong Hill's tepanyaki place to eat... cos the past 2 times that i was at Jurong Hil.. i never did manage to dine and try the tepanyaki there...

So she gathered some peeps..*i nearly couldnt make it there cos meeting ended real late* Thanks to VinVin my trusty PTS heheh.. so yupz.. by the time we got there.. the rest (Skee, Zhu, Ting, Weilun, ShuHong, Kenny Boy and MAN) had already finished eating..

Think it must be quite torturing for them.. to see us eating.. hahah the food was Great.. and to top it off, we had yummy Mango Pudding too.. =) Some of us decided to go for round 2 at West Coast Mac *was thinking of Mambo-ing even hahah, but settled for MAc, since we got to work tml*

So off we went to West Coast... (forgot to add-->Kenny Boy and me had quite a "scandalous time" time together..hahah... He gave me a ride down Jurong Hill in his Phantom.. WooHoo...) not bad sia.. got Birthday ride even.. hahha

Skee, Zhu, Vin, Weilun and Zhu's bf and me went to West Coast mac.. "counting" down to my bday, crapping there..was out till 1ish..and my dear Ah mei was waiting for me at home.. haha so cute... =)

Been a pretty slack weekend for me...went to work on Sat...and then it was off to Churchie i went... nothing much happened... and well after Gel meet i was in church and went home together with the Brats and aunty.....*such a guai girl*

Anyhowz, the message was focus on 1 Corinthians 7 on Sex and marriage.. WOO.. haha *eyes open, Sit up straight* everyone was super awake lor... interesting topic..hahaha... main thing is:

God has HIS purpose for each of us...some He would prepare to 'receive' the gift of celibacy..while most would be for them to get married.. For those who are to be married.... important thing is that they must not let marriage become a distraction for them from God..

Shall quote Uncle William:

For me.. hmm guess i dun think i will ever be ready to receive the gift of celibacy... (i wanna get married and have my own family de) then...well i know its not right.. but I've been praying that I am not the choosen few....(used to think I must have been God's chosen few, since no one right and interesting came along in my life) hahaha But well if its really God's will for me..i no bo bian... I pray that he will help me accept the fact with less reluctance etc...

Anywayz... was in church till 2ish..practising the items for Christmas outreach... before the Lovable Boy came by to pick me up.. went for lunchie at Katong..had laksa and then it was off to his place to slack...

Slack we did... was watching TV and we actually fell asleep... all the way till 8ish.. Goodness.. PIGs lor.. haha I was supposed to meet Jasmine so called her..and she was out with Ching liaoz..so went to Holland V to meet them.. Boy came along.. cos like me he was starving...

Had dinner at Thai Express and then it was off to Coffee Bean to have crappy talk...nice evening out and of cos...nice slacko day today..Lovable Boy sent the 2 ladies home...and of cos..me too...and we kinda had nice quality time together in the car...talking...just like old times *before we got together*

The most amazing thing happened on Thursday...you know in Channel 8 dramas, how couples end up not meeting each other cos of taking different lifts etc?? well something that dramatic happened on thurs to me and the Boy... only difference is..... *read on to find out*

8.30pm (Called the Boy)
ME: I'm done, going back GH first.. where u wanna meet me?
Boy: hmmm i got no car now.. boring.. you call me when u reach GH then i see how..

KKMM gave me a lift to the Boy's place...

I didnt call the Boy or inform him that I had already made my way over to his place....had wanted to 'surprise' him by turning up at the door... so off i went to his block, took the lift A with another person.

In the lift:
I pressed the "11" floor button, looked at the man, and he said "I pressed already"..so i assumed he was going to the same floor as me, since the other button didnt light up...so i was msg-ing someone...so when the door opened, the man in the lift went out...I followed him out...

Then he said.. "girl i tot you were going to 11 floor? this is only 6th floor....

So silly me, pressed the lift...*still msg-ing away*... by this time.. Lift A had already gone up to 11th floor... so Lift B came to 6th floor.. when the lift door opened... I was about to open my mouth to ask "if it was going up or down" *while still msg-ing away* and then.. I was Stunned...

Lovable Boy was in the lift.. equally Stunned... looking at me...

hahaha... So qiao.. if i had not followed the man out at 6th floor, if i wasnt msg-ing away on my hp, haha the dramatic Channel 8 scenario would have taken place.. hahaha.... this is just sooo funny... as the Lovable Boy puts it...

Gosh... in 7days time..i will be another year older... turning 24 liaoz... why is it that time is like flying by soooo quickly leh??? oh wellz.. growing old has never been my fear...cos well i dun consider myself old... but just that..that's when reality really sets in that life's no longer another play play thing...

oh wellz..consolation for me in growing another year older is that...haha at least i dun look my age..and most peeps even thinks my younger sis actually looks older then me.. hahaha..

Anywayz.. nothing much happened today..ended work late...and nice PIC aka KKMM gave me a lift to Boy's place.. *Thankies*... din really do much for the evening..just usual slacking around, watching tv with his family...and we had a good long quality talk..nice quality time spent together..

Guess what peeps?? for those that still dunno... well i am 70% confirm going to Taiwan in January... haha I kinda volunteered to be the Ah sum aka bao ga liao to go with my Gramps to Taiwan in Jan... haha 50% subsidy from my aunt...*bu qu bai bu qu*... so yupz.. most prob leaving in mid jan.. hehe

Oh wellz, was an irritaing colleague today.. haha was in Dawnie's office..doing work...at the same time being the "DJ" and putting on Sad Love songs for them all... haha so much for being an empathetic social worker huh? hahah..

Oh well, quit being the DJ at 7ish, and went to Toa Payoh to meet Jialiang for dinner.. short catching up.. and then i got my 2nd Bday pressie for the year *remember??? my first bday pressie came few months back*

Went to Braddell to meet Aileen to dicuss camp stuffs.. well we were planning the Amazing Race segment for the camp.. and yupz.. seriously think i have a calling to do such things... always called to plan games, progs and now..amazing races...

maybe i should really consider doing this full time... haha to think i can actaully think up 26 different locations/clues in just that few hours... lala.. anywayz...am looking forward to the camp... kayaking, reunion of the crazy siao on senior guides... hahaha..
