Dim Sum Dollies and mambo

Dim Sum Dollies and Mambo Boy was not working yesterday, I was supposed to take time off and go settle some stuffs for 20th Dec... In the end, i only managed to leave office at 5ish instead of 1pm... so we rushed down to Swiss Hotel, sign paper and stuffs...and then it was off to meet the rest for Dim Sum Dollies...

Dim Sum Dollies were back in Town, Boy wanted to go watch it.. so do I... so got a few others: VinVin, Papa Bear, Zi, Noel and Seng Yip.... while i was waiting for the show to start... i suddenly tot of 1 more person that i should have asked along.... My KongKong.... He would Love Dim Sum Dollies... darn....

The 3 Dollies were great, Candid, Entertaining and simply Fantastic... ...i hope they do the next run or another encore again soon, so that i can bring Kongkong to go watch.. he's sure to Like Dim Sum Dollies...

Anywayz, since it was Wednesday yesterday, after the Dollies show.... we went to Newton to have dinner before heading to where we always go on Wednesday Nights.........hahha MAMBO!! was supposed to be a night where we ONz each other that we will stay till lights comes on, music stops playing.... But.....

MUSIC was bad, CROWD was 10times worst... loads of KIddos, (or are we getting old??) irritating people around-girls who cant drink and still wanna drink till they are half dead and end up puking their throats out and then lying down in the middle of nowhere...worst.. beside the toilet bowl... *YIKES*

How can anyone do that ah?? I mean i've been 'drinking' quite a fair bit the past few months as well.. I believe there's always a Limit... and dont talk crap about "no control one.. u wun know".. cos that's crap.. Cos Can tell and can know one.. there comes a point when u know u cant drink anymore cos if u drink anymore..either u go abit Kuku or u just lost all sense and control.. before the "really no control state"...

So what I am saying is... What is these girls doing??? and its like sooo dangerous la.. you know people always say "you never know what happens when u're drunk".. and worst.. their frens are ALSO drunk la... so who's gonna "take care" of them??? I am always Thankful that my frens keep a look out for each other, we control each other's drinking, encourage too at times...haha but never in my ahem.. just few Months of chionging have we ever got ourselves to the state of Drunkedness... High?? maybe.. but not Drunk...

Oh wellz, since crowd was bad, we were getting bored, music sux too... we left early...and decided to get our Newest LLF=FEEBIE to join us on 19th March..cos she'll be 18 by then.. hahahaha

Time with Japheth and Jemuel 3days back, on Sunday 24.02.08 (Shoutout to ZACH xiaodi: Happy Blessed Birthday!!), Pearlyn, Boy and me brought the 2 Js (Jemuel and Japheth) out for late night tour of Singapore...well they went back last night already.....

Anywayz, night tour of Singapore: pick them up from their place, brought them to Changi Village, wanted to bring them to see the "people at work" there.. but hmm they were not working that night.. so we took a stroll and walk along Changi Board Walk... cooling time, Pearlyn the Brat was worried about insects, ghosts and all..

haha it was really quite Bimbotic of her (meimei is a little bimbotic as well)...I wonder why she's like Ultra Bimbotic while the rest of us who are also from Girls Sch turns out to be very much different...well guess its cos.. We are all SACians, while they are IJ girls.. haha...*no offence* just joking.. =)

Oh wellz, after changi, we went to siglap for starbucks before going to Geylang for tour...and then it was over to Mt Faber... think they like the night tour pretty much, cos Jemuel loves the lights in Singapore.. =)

Went to Airport last night to send them off...am glad they had the chance to come Singapore, and am hoping that we have a chance to visit them again in iLoiLo... We will miss you guys... !!! see you soon

*Before i mention anything about Thinking day, i shall whine first.. I was at work this morning... I have been waking up at 7am everyday the past week from mon to today... SULKS*

Okies.. yupz, went to work today.. and I rushed down to SAC after work, to join my Guides to go to Indoor Stadium for the Thinking Day Rally.. well didnt wanted to go.. untill Ms J from HQ called me 2 days back to say APR (Asia Pacific region) people of WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts) are here and would like to "meet" up with me...cos of me being the only guide in the world to have been on BP Peak...

Oh ya.. some time back.. Vin posted this on his blog.. So yupz.. went to the Rally...helped out with the ceremony preparation and all... and VIP was Mrs Joy Balakrishnah and Mrs S R Nathan!!! got the chance to usher them and Mrs Joy Bala recognises me.. =)

And was a proud moment for my school but an Paisay one for me.. Chief COmmissioner while giving her speech, mentioned the BP peak acheivement, mentioned my name and also SAC.. and i had to stand in front of the thousand of guides there .... lalala...

Oh wellz.. ceremony went on til 4pm.. with me and yimin going around chasing people back to their seats.. Guides and Brownies were walking around while people were making speech.. GOSH.. no basic manners and courtesy.. and wat's worst is.. Why arent their guiders doing anything about it??

Well Rally ended, and i followed the bus back to SAC before going to SImpang Bedok to meet my Gellies for dinner together with Japheth and Jemuel =)

Hey Hey Hey its Thinking Day Hey Hey hey.... its Thinking Day... all over the world its Thinking Day... =) Happy Thinking Day to all Guides all over the world.... and Happy Founders Day to all Scouts all over the world too....
I Miss wearing my Guides uniform... I miss the blue uniform, the scarve, the badges and all the crazy things we do back in Guiding days...

Had my basic theory test today.. haha few days back to think i actually failed the trial theory test..and i tot I must be "super cannot make it".. went for basic theory test.. and I passed!! hahah.. *all things are possible with God!*

And so I have my basic theory liaoz.. next up would be to start my driving lessons... I immediately booked a time for lesson..and gosh per lesson of 120mins (off peak timing) cos $71.69 la.. super EX... i wanna cry liaoz..gonna be broke by the time i obtain my liscense.. so must pass the first time...

Anywayz... worked till late, went back home changed and was off to Budget Terminal.. to pick up friends from Philippines, Cebu-iLoiLo : Pastor and wifey, Jemuel and Japheth... WELCOME TO SINGAPORE frens.. =)

They brought us letter from Philippines.. i got mine too from Mart.. haha "love letter" hand delievered as what Jap and Jem said.. haha..anyway was nice to see them again..and so sad that they will onli be here with us for 5 days... but yupz.. better then nothing.. =)

Last night, we Welcomed another member to the mambo group... *Adeline*... haha she wanted to join us to see see look look after always hearing from Zi and me bout Mambo.. hahah..

Anywayz... was out with Boy... he came to Gh to pick me up after work, went back home to changed and then we were off for dinner... was heading to Vivocity for Movie thereafter.. went to watch "Jumper".. The movie wasnt as nice as it seems... no story line and plot.. and if u ask me what the show is about.. i would say..its just Jumping from place to place..

Anywayz, Adeline had told Zi that she wanted to Mambo this week, and Zi asked me to accompany her.. told her I need to head home REAL EARLY cos next day was inspection day for us... so Boy and me headed down to meet them at Zouk, to bring Ah Poong in...

They all arrived at 11ish... and guess what? haha Boy and me left at 12.15AM (might as well not go right?) hehe.. *i was very discipline this time* and i'm so proud of myself.. Sorry Zi.. too tired this week.. =) next week okies?

1 yr since mama left

1 year since mama left us...

Its been a year now... exactly this date... 15th Feb last year, Mama left us and went home to be with the Lord.. 1 year has actually past by us... but it seems like its only yesterday... I think of her time to time, thinking she's there, just away for Holiday...

I 'feel' and 'sense' her presence sometimes... *I think*, feels as though she's there watching over me, making sure i'm taken care of... I Miss her lots... miss everything about her, her nagging at me for coming home late, her nagging at me to eat breakfast and all...

But i know....all these memories of her will always be there in my heart... a special place kept aside for her....

Valentine's Day 2008

Valentine's day this year was a simple affair... well actually past 25yrs Vdays are all simple too.. hahah and well come to think of it.. everything's soo pricey during Vday, streets are real crowded with the same common sight-couples walking around, girls holding flowers... hmmmm is Vday the only day u show u love someone? is Vday the onli day u can give flowers to someone?

well I remember back in school days in SAC, in CJC, in NUS days... I enjoyed myself tremendously during Vday, not cos i had a bf with me or something..but Vday i remember back then was "friendship day" for us all.. quote from a fren who once said this "being Single is not a sin"- well Who said it was in the first place? Its the hype about Vday that kinda make peeps who are single thinks it is a sin....

Oh wellz, Vday back in Sch days were great, Fun and memorable... everyone will be giving each other chocolates, flowers, cards, pretty handmade gifts..and one of the best Vday i had which i remembered was actually selling flowers with Skee, Weilun and my cousin along City hall area.. haha was a super fun time trying to break even from the money we invested in the flowers...and we actually broke even, earned some money and got 40 stalks of flowers left over.. haha

Anywayz, I spent my whole day in office today...together with Haz.. had reports to rush and all.. and something sweet took place though.. at bout 7pm, one of the kiddo walked past our office asking why we were still in office and not out celebrating... we said we had reports...and asked why we got no flowers from him then...

He said: I never go out how to buy?
we said: Can find ma... (joking of cos)
He said: Okies.. give me a min...
next moment.. he came back with 2 flowers (in the picture above)
He said: for you both... go home early ah...

So sweet la.. haha we realised much later from Kailin that kiddo had actually went to pluck from GH field.. haha.. funny and cute.. sweet tooo.. =) but I guess at least it was from the heart and all.. Anywayz, Lovable Boy came by at night to pick me up.. he was busy with work too and only finished work at 9pm.. we went for late dinner at AMK before heading home....and yes.. haha that was the only flower *points to pic above* i received this year... =)

It was Wednesday again last night... and well.. since Boy was busy and didnt wanna go anymore.. i didnt wanna go too.. cos i got to wake up early the next day and Zi didnt wanna go too... BUT BUT BUT... Wesley was back in Sg and he wanted to go..and well we kinda promised him earlier... and haha Zi relented and decided to go... SO... yeap.. we went ahead...

Was supposed to meet Wesley over at Zouk itself.. but since he dropped his bro over at Cine, he called me and guess what? haha his car was right in front of the bus that Zi and me was on..so we alighted from the bus and went to his car.. haha.. got to ZOuk.. and it was quite crowded...

Had told NY earlier that I will be bringing someone to see him... his reply? "gays not allowed" haha.. and told Wesley that I will be bringing him to find someone too.. Wesley was amazed to see NY hahaa..

Welcome back ALi dinner

NQRJLB reunion dinner 2008 CNY is a time of reunion for family... its also a reunion time for NQRJLB peeps... since Ali was back in Spore... we had a crabbie meal together with almost ALL the NQRJLB members (cept for mummy who had to go visiting, and KKMM who got to work)..

Went to Melben Seafood over at AMK.. our favourite crabbie place... ordered loads of crabs..and gorge ourselves crazy with the food.. haha Its just amazing how this NQRJLB group has grown in size... from the humble beginnings of just Dawnie and myself to having everyone else... haha..

Highlight of the evening: Penpals met up (Kailin and Ali).. both have been sharing for each other presents and communicating via frenster..but dun exactly know each other until last night.. haha

Anywayz, Ali wanna eat durians...KKMM came to join us since he was off work already.. so we went to Serangoon area durian stall (the one over at Alvin's place) and so Alvin's mum who was home helped to bargain for good price for the durians.. =) was a nice time together with all the rest of NQRJLB again...ALI DUN GO BACK... haha we will miss u...

Yuppers.. its first day of Chinese New Year, woke up at 12pm..(the blessed thing about Not having to go around visitng yet still being able to collect ang pow).. was home early morning at bout 5am today.. after being out last night... =)

Yeah.. its the weekly affair thingy... Closet Chiongster-Sophy came out of closet.. Boy had got some of his colleaues and us all to go Mambo-ing on eve of CNY... haha plan was to go see fireworks and rub shoulders with people at River Hongbao before heading down to Zouk for booze and all... In the end... he was also caught up with packing up his room...and so.. only came by my place to pick Zi, Gladys and Me up at 11.30pm... laalala

So off we went...Gosh... to think that it was actually more crowded then we had expected it to be despite it being CNY period...night at Zouk ended rather early at 3ish..and Debbie jus arrived then.. haha but well the Boy was hungry and so we left to head to Thomson Prata...and only came home at 5am...

And so am home now... waiting for peeps to arrive to give me ang pow... Okies.. let u guys in on a hint... (dun get it.. then too bad) *might be my last year to get by without giving ang pow liaoz* lallala

reunion dinner

CNY 2008, Reunion Dinner Its CNY period yet again...was a Half working day today.. *YIPEE*.. and so went to work early together with Haz...met up at the usual bus stop to head to office together... our motivation for today was "4 hrs work" haha....

Boy came by to GH to pick me up, and we decided to have our own 'reunion lunch' first before reunion dinner with the family... So yupz.. went to Bishan, most restaurant and food outlets were closing already by the time we were there..so settled for simple lunch and yup it was home we go...

OTime really past real fast... and its time for reunion yet again... well its the 2nd year that we are spending CNY without Mama... looking back at the past year's Reunion Dinner time... still remember that reunion dinner last year, was the very first time the WHOLE family was there together... at a different setting... different feeling too...

Mum was there together with Stepdad and Sheffrey (my half sis), My other uncle was there with my cousins too, and of cos the rest of the peeps living in the same household as me... well this year's reunion was a simple affair at home...just the 9 of us... Aunty did all the cooking this time round... food was less elaborate as compared to previous years when mama did all the cooking and preparation...
Guess everyone around the table did thought of Mama when we ate, but no one mentioned anything... dinner was good... fellowship and company of the family was good..and we really should have such dinner together more often instead of just once a year.....*sobs* might be the last time as well...

anyhow.. the rest of the evening after reunion dinner was spent clearing the shelves and drawers... threw away loads of things and yupz.. now its spick and span... =) done with cleaning and i'm all ready for CNY.... and also waited for Boy..cos we (my sis, me and gang) were gonna be Happening peeps.. haha Mambo-ing on eve of CNY....

Ali is back

ALi is back... with Krispy KremeOur dear fren came back from Aussie last night.. and we headed down to Airport to pick her up... and hehe She brought Krispy Kreme donuts which she painsakingly hand carried through the whole flight....

Super Yummy Donuts... and well we are happier to know that she's back for catching up with frens and family.... So we 'kidnapped' her away from her parents and zoomed her off to Bedok Blk 85 for late night supper...

Was a great time of cathing up... us updating her 1 yr of nonsense and all at one go.... anyhow since she must be tired, we called it a night and Me was off to Churchie for Games Night...

Reached church and it was 'break time' for snacks and all before we started watching Movie... and then it was Free and Easy-play ur own games amongst ur group time... Boy just touched down from Brunei, and he went home, picked Ah Poong and ZL up and headed to churchie to join us too...

So yupz, Boy, ZL, Ah Poong, Gladys, Emmy, Char, Ah mei and me occupied the GEL room and was playing Taboo in there all the way till 5 this morning before most of us concussed but Ah Poong, ZL and Gladys continued to talk to 7am.. goodness gracious... So we all slept till 10am before we packed up and left...

Super zombiefied and tired day... so sent Gladys home, went to Boy's school pick Jon up went for lunch and we were off home to SLEEP!!! haha wat a Saturday..
