last mambo in 2009, prob last for me too

Last mambo in 2009 And yes there you have it..I was out of the closet once again... to join the mambo monsters over at Mambo last night...since leongie was not around, I was free, not working today, it was the end of the year, the last mambo for 2009, and its like the 4th or 5th Mambo i attended this year only!!

Was at Liquid kitchen before Zouk-ing.. was there with Yue papa, Wenyu and Watermelon mate-Yanni... a meet up after like years of no proper meet up... its been 9 years since we grad from cjc...goodness how time flies manz..Oh well.. we were there till bout 12ish.. and then it was time for me to head down to Z place to meet the mambo monsters...

and i managed to get Yue Papa to join me too... Yipeeez...
We got there about 1am.. and i think its the latest that i ever got there. no more space for valet and so we kinda expected it to be full house there... walked over to entrance, the 'gang' was there.. Nana and her cuzz, JR and Marcus... met Sofian and chat up a little before he allowed us in.. Yue papa was pretty 'amazed' I would say cos we din have to queue or even pay any cover charge..lalala..

well the booze for the gang was madness I would say..they drank like there was no tomorrow.. and I am just glad that I am now alcohol free and am staying that way.. Sober-ness is the way to go (although I've never been un-sober before)...
Leongie's spies were there too.. by 'spies' i meant his scout buddies...good to have them there too...

Come to think of it.. we arent friends who really meet up often or keep in constant contact..but he's someone whom I know i can count on and depend on if need be.. My first few friends I made while in OI 1st 3 months, one of the close buddies in CJC too..

Well, probably I haven been mambo-ing for a long while.. kinda feel detached whilst I was there.. feeling's different from previously.. never did I tried to enter the packed dancefloor.. we just hanged around Bar 2 the whole time.. and I kinda felt a little uneasy being there..

the sweaty people around, the crazyness around.. I think I am "growing out" of mambo and like Leongie... such lifestyle not my kind anymore (since its no longer a weekly affair for me...might still go once in a long blue moon...but yupz probably its really a long blue moon that I will go) hhahahaa so.. Bye Zi... my trusted first ever mambo mate..

Slack whole day Day

The "Slack Whole day" Day Was a day of slacking yesterday... Boy didnt want to work... neither did I (plus i have accumulated too much hours of time off again) so we kinda decided it was Sentosa day for us...and we called along 3 other bummers who just finished school... Celine, Ivor and Mian...

So we reached Sentosa at 11ish? and we settled ourselves down at this hut......There... we kinda stood around first..and was playing with frisbee...before.. we decided to play card games.... and to think we (all other then Boy) were playing bridge and we played for close to 3ish hours... until Boy said "wah 4 O'clock already..and u all still playing the same game"...goodness we didnt even noticed that time past sooo fast la...

Anywayz... we went off to play Frisbee and went dipping in the water... before going to wash up and went off...

Boy and me headed over to Noel's workplace to pick him up... and we went to Seng Yip's BBQ... there we played frisbee again.. I think i am kinda hooked on playing that and very keen to play it for leisure more often...

BBQ was great..a small little gathering with his usual gang of friends where we all sat around talking and eating... and then it was time to adjorn for part 3 activity.... where else but that Z place at Kim Seng road.. since it was a wednesday night...
Once there.. i realised Addie was there tooo.. goodness she was supposed to be studying for exams... anyway.. it was like a small mini OUR wedding gathering for the "brothers" and "sisters" cos they all happened to be there...

Alright only 2 of the "Jie-meis" were there..but 5 (ZL, Zhiwei, Leo, Justin, Weihong)outta 7 of Boy's "brothers" were there...but still seems like a mini gathering for jie meis...and Ah poong came too...anyway... didnt stayed too long there..we left at 2...cos mambo these days isnt as fun as before...

Anywayz.. enjoyed my slacking day together with the Boy..and i totally heart days that I dun have to work... gosh... i badly wanna be a tai tai.. hahaha *hint*hint*

healthier wed night

Healthier Wednesday night... Its Wednesday yday...and its Mambo night... but these days..we have been pretty healthy and keeping to healthier options of entertainment and chilling out... Last night too... Met the crazy gang over at clarke Quay instead....Seems like clarke quay is their new hangout place...

anywayz... Zi and myself was the earliest to reach, since Zi came to GH to find me...and so we went to Coffee club to get seats first... we had much earlier decided it was desserts day..and we want to keep mambo monster away from drinks..and have her try healthy options too... and so decided on coffee club instead of pump room...

Sat there for sometime, before they all start strolling in... addie and her sis, hannah, Nana and then it was Rendy and Amanda.... was there till 1ish when mambo monster said she needed to retire to hall (cos there was no drinks therapy for her and she was getting drowsy).. haha so we went over to Yellow Jello retro bar...

they play mambo songs whole night long...and well its definitely a better alternative to mamboing if we just wanted to chill out to songs from the 80s...and it was rather empty (prob all the usual peeps that frequent this place is down at Kim Seng Road on wednesday for the real MAMBO)

We called it a night when the place closed...and Zi, Nana and me went for 3rd round..over at Tampines Mac... while trying to figure out what is wrong with the car's air con too.. it started giving out some foul funny smell... Yikes.. shall bring the car to service or something soon.....

Super Late night out..

Lala.. didnt Mambo the the day... cos I was too tired...fell asleep on bed.. and to make up for not appearing the other day... had a late night outing planned together with nana, and gang...

Met Ching and G at Holland V for dinner at Crystal Jade and Addie came to join us... we had a big miscommunication.. Nana had planned to meet Ching, G and myself, and Addie was meeting up with Marcus and Zi and "her friends" separately.. We kinda assumed that Zi was meeting us and so we were all confused plus Nana was not responding to our calls and all..

So we made our way down to Clarke Quay to meet Zi.. and decided to just all have a drink together... went to Brewerkz and Marcus came...still no signs of Nana.. and well.. me having been keeping to my new habit of Not drinking... was craving for ROOT beer...(haha yes rootbeer at at brewery) but no root beer and so settled for juice instead... Brewerkz was 'chasing' us off at bout 1am and so we decided to adjourned outside to wait for Nana who was on her way to meet us..

and then NANA came... hehe her hair has grown sooo long since the last time we saw her.. WELCOME BACK NANA!!! and so we all headed over to Clarke Quay.. Ching left us as she was quite zonked out already.. I was too.. cos i woke up at 6am in the morning...and was kinda sleepy already..but cos Nana came..and i couldnt just leave just seeing her in 5 mins.. so decided to join them for part 2..

Headed over to "Highlander" in Clarke Quay and stayed there till 3ish...we had wanted to have breakfast together..but I was worried i couldnt make it to drive home after that..and so.. Nana, G and myself called it a night and headed home..

Its been awhile since i stayed out till sooo late..i'm getting old and haha more healthy... late nights are really not for me anymore... I got home safe and sound..while trying to keep very awake and alert while driving.. (not cos i'm intoxicated-How would i be? since i never drink...but more of cos I'm sleepy)

Headed to bed straight at 4am...and just woke up at 1pm..gonna go over to my Niang Jia for lunchie with family... and then it is Churchie i go for props preparation for rehearsals tomorrow..

Nana's back and its time for Party

Before March ends... i'm here to blog NANA is back from Canada!!!! so its time for PARTY this week... hahaha.. she was telling ZI and me over msn the other day... "mambo on 1st April"... both Zi and myself was like.. yeah yeah..must be an April fools joke.. but NO... NANA really is back...

so Crazy gang will be down at Kim Seng Road this wed.. =) lalala.. and if u're going "Sophia's the mambo queen" once again... NO... cos i haven been there in 3 weeks.. =) see no longer the weekly affair thingy already... i'm a healthy girl now..

Zi and me been keeping to abstinence from mambo for some time... cos we decided we need to be healthy instead..and adopt a healthy lifestyle programme instead of keeping late nights out...and for the record.. Yours truly here...have kinda quit drinking.. haven really drink since August 2008.. (except for the baileys i drank on plane-that dun count right?)

Am quitting drinking for a couple of reasons.... and here's the reasons i've thought of:

1) Boy dun like drinking, and so he wun kiss me when i drink.. (hahaha)
2) Been driving..so cant drink and drive can I?
3) Drinking slows down my stamina...and I dun like that
4) Drinking kinda slows down my thought process too...
5) Dun wanna suffer liver explosion (had too much nightmares of that already)
6) Wanted to look healthy and nice during my wedding then (so stopped drinking from aug 08)
7) Other than getting the high feeling from drinking, (which I already can feel high even without being toxicated) there isnt really any other advantages of drinking.. so why drink?
8) Drinking is super COstly... did my sums and i think back then Zi and me spent really super a lot on drinking..
9) The crazy mambo gang needed 1 responsible adult amongst them to be sober (and that's me)

So yupz.. thus i am staying alcohol free.. (90%) the other 10%?? well i still go for bailey's ice-cream, rum and raisins, tiramisu, and occasionally small sips of anything new crazy gang tries...

Anywayz..back to 1st April.. anyone else wanna join us????

ANyway...wonder if its me or something else... maybe i've been missing from mambo for quite some time, and maybe its time i retire.... cos Mambo that night SUCK big time... crowd was bad, weirdos all around, it felt like the place was super polluted with weird and irritating people around... but well nonetheless as always... the only thing great was the company of peeps around..

Crazy gang make the time more enjoyable and more entertaining, by entertaining ourselves....

First Mambo in 2009

First mambo in 2009 Boy & me touched down at Changi Airport at 6ish pm... it was a wed night..and we knew my crazy gang missed us truck loads and the week before we kinda told them that we dun mind meeting them up when we came back..at that Z place to "square-room" together... and So... that explains how we ended up at that Z Place and having our first ever mambo dosage in year 2009...
