Christmas Day

Christmas Day 2007

Pictures: Christmas in Singapore Heartlands, Toh Yi Drive... =)

Christmas this year was quite a simple affair.. Was actually 'home' watching TV... Slept late the night before so woke up late in the day....No count down party too.. Usually in the past... the Girlies from GEL would meet up on eve of Christmas and have a get together to exchange gifts and also count down to Christmas....this year...everyone had their own plans...

And well.. My church dun usually have countdown thingy or Christmas service on the actual day...But kinda think maybe shall suggest to them next year...cos it will be more meaningful to celebrate the Birth of Christ that way...

Anywayz, last night.. went over to a Colleague's place for dinner after being out shopping with the Boy again... picked Haz up.. and together we 3 headed over to Tampines... this colleague of our's-Aunty W was having a mini gathering planned as an outreach event so tot we went as well since she invited us along....

Was there from 7pm till 11pm.. nice gathering.. reminded me of the Christmas gathering at my house Many many years ago.. hehe After that, we dropped Haz at City Hall while Boy and me went over to Marina to catch midnight movie "National Treasure"... Countdown-ed to Christmas at Starbucks before we went to the cinema..

And so... got home late, slept till late.. woke up today... met my family for lunch and then we went to Mandai to "visit" Mama.... I still remember.. in the past, whenever it is November, Mama would start asking us to play Christmas songs for her

So everyday at home... when i was still a student (its the hols) I will wake up to Christmas songs playing loudly from my living room.. (that's how i know a lot of Christmas songs)... well this year was different... no Christmas songs playing at home.. and No Mama here with us..but as my aunt says.. Mama's in a better place now..Singing Christmas carols with God.. =)

After mandai... Boy and me went back to his place.. and we had dinner with his parents...and the rest of the evenings it was spent watching tv.... Boring Christmas? but well at least I spent it with Loved ones and people close to my heart this year.. and that's the true Joy of Christmas
