RACE 4 in a nutshell

Dun really think u guys wanna hear every single bit of Race 4 details, especially so since most of you already heard all the interesting stories already..so here's where we went in a nutshell..

Day 1: Friday 21st July 2006
-Its the 21st again...13th mths with the Boy hahahah-

Race peeps gathered at NUS for a final briefing before the flag off... manz.. the other teams looked real Strong and fit.. we 'the retards' are "fat and Ugly" hahah as Ah hong puts it... but Neh..we Work smart.. Not hard..so who cares bout who's fit and who's not...

flag off, ah hong headed for the field, while Ting, Chim and me rushed towards the bus stop with Ah Hong's bag.. *great strategy, cos all other teams just rushed towards the field together... more like a stampede* got the clue.. and I got the first ride..

NUS ->Sunset Way's abandoned railway (count wooden planks) ->Dempsey Road (count carpark lots) ->National Library (find book) ->X Trekkers (get free gift) ->READ bridge (solve IQ question) ->Marina South (prawn fishing) ->MArina City Park (Pitstop)

Repeated checkpoints: 1 (Sunset way railaway track)

And hey... to think MAN and Bings was surprised it was me who solved the IQ question... sigh..am i really that GongGong, Blur Blur, Silly Silly to all??? now i proven u all wrong.. lalal... anywayz.. Team Retards was one of the 1st 3 teams to reach the pitstop for day 1.. and we got the priviledge to go elsewhere..

Day 2: Saturday 22nd July 2006

Marina City Park -> Sungei Buloh (ran in take clue) -> Hay Dairies Goat Farm (drink milk) ->Sembawang Hot Spring (cool the water to 35 degrees) ->Seletar Base's golf course (play Golf) ->Changi Jetty (see Meiyu n HuiTing get money to Ubin) -> Ubin's Mamman Beach (play childhood games) -> Changi Beach (compulsory Rest) -> Arab Street (find someone) ->Mount Emily (Jigsaw and YIELD Team) ->Black Raffles Statue (get clue card) ->Cenotapah(estimate surface area) ->Merlion (get clue to Pitstop) ->Esplanade (pitstop)

Repeated Stations: 4 (Sungei Buloh, Hot Spring, Ubin, Arab Street)
Nice AH Beng car ride travelling at 100km/hr: 1
Yielded Team: 1 (Team 14 *my team* Yielded Team 5)
Unhappy, irritated Team: 1 (Team 5)
Supper Happy Team: 10 (cos team 5 was was Yielded)
Km walked: Countless (we walked in and out of ubin *halfway*)
Bicycles Hitched: 4 (hitched 4 boyboys bicycles while at Ubin)

We reached 2nd day pitstop at 3pm.. can u believe it?? super early lor.. hahah and well the 2nd team came 40mins after us.. so we rotted at Esplanade park, praised by other teams for yielding team 5 before Race com sent us to ECP for the night...

Night time came, Team manager Skee came to give us "inspiring speech" for our last day of RACE.. and Xiaohei and Youkai dropped by to visit too..thankies peeps...

Day 3: Sunday 23rd July 2006

Starting time was pushed back 30mins, cos CHAO KUAN team actually pre arranged transport so things changed....

ECP -> Jalan Besar Stadium (quiz on flags) ->Kallang Sea Sports Club (kayak and RUN) -> Labrador Park (see divine thingy) ->Mount Faber (get money, see jasmine) ->Sentosa Dragon thingy (retrace race places) -> Carlsberg tower (find tourist) ->Musical Fountain (find thing) ->Siloso Beach (memory game) ->Southern most end of island (PITSTOP)

Repeated Stations: 3 (Kallang Sea Sports, Labrador, Mt Faber)
Kanna Scolded CB at: 1 (by team 5)
Nice Aunty who drove us around: 1
Happy Teams: 5 (cos Team 5 didnt win)
Unhappy team : 1 (Team 5, they complained everywhere they went)
'Interesting conversation' bet us and Team 5 at musical Fountain: 1
Scene created at Carlsberg tower: 1 (Team 5 shouting away at poor Darren)

Being Dunked: 3 person (NianJia, Me and Jan)

Basically it was a run for ur life, cheong all u can day... we did that, but always kanan surprised cos team 5 always turn up at station earlier then ALL the other teams.. but haha well cos they were "SO NICE" they didnt win..cos they didn find the right allies..We (top 3 teams) were sooo happy that Team 5 didnt win..

It was a great Race all in all..and we had fun... though Race Founders aka Retards didnt came in 1st, but we were still happy with the results.. haha.. finished prize presentation and it was dunking people time...and manz.. i got DUNKed... funny lor.. was planning to dunk NianJia..but i was Dunked first..

We (Ah hong, ting, chim and me) headed back to NUS to shower and went to Harbourfront to meet Skee, MAN and Xiaohei for dinner..before going to Dempsey to buy durians and go over to skee's place for round 2 of race updates....

well tt's basically what happened for the 3days out running around..am already looking forward to RACE 5..and still harbouring tots about being the VIP for RACE 10 haha... Great Job RACE com.. especially to Nian Jia for being a real people's person..and handling all the unhappiness real well.. =)
